Before you begin installing the seat
into your vehicle, did you check:
Your child’s weight and height?
4-40 lb (1.8-18 kg) and
19-40 in. (48-101.6 cm)
Your child’s fi t? See page 11.
Do you need to make adjustments to the
harness/headrest height or the buckle position?

Child Restraint
This is very important
because
not all vehicle
belts will work with child
restraints.
Review pages 22-25 and your vehicle owner’s manual to
determine what kind of vehicle belt you have and how to lock
a child restraint in place.

Check Rear-Facing Level
Line
For children who cannot
sit up unassisted, the level
line must
be parallel with the
ground.
Recline the car seat to achieve
the proper angle, see step 3.
For children who can sit up
unassisted, you may rotate
the child restraint to be more
upright in Position 2.

Recline the Car Seat
Pull out on recline handle and
push top of child restraint
back.
The recline handle is at the
front of the car seat and under
the pad.
