Safety

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
2. This Coffee Maker is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children.
4. In order to minimize the risk of property damage,
never place the Coffee Maker under cabinets. Make sure
the area several feet above the Coffee Maker is clear
from all furniture or cabinetry.
5. Do not open the Coffee Maker lid while coffee
is brewing. Scalding may occur if the lid is lifted
or removed during the brewing cycle.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow unit to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.

8. To protect against re or electrical shock, do not
immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other
liquids.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer Service.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE UNIT YOURSELF.
THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
10. The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may result in re,
electric shock or injury to persons.
11. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Do not
let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter
or touch hot surfaces.
12. Stand the appliance on a table or at surface.
13. Do not use a cracked glass carafe or a carafe having
a loose or weakened handle.
14. Only use the glass carafe with this appliance.
Handle with care as the glass may become hot.
15. Snap lid securely onto glass carafe before serving
coffee.
16. Never use your Coffee Maker without water in the water
reservoir.
17. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven.
18. The carafe is designed for use with this appliance.
It must never be used on a range top.

19. Do not set hot glass carafe on a wet or cold surface.
20. Do not clean glass carafe with cleaners, steel wool
pads, or other abrasive material.
21. To interrupt the brewing cycle at any time, press .
Unless the Coffee Maker is malfunctioning, do not
remove plug from wall outlet. Unplug the power cord
from the electrical outlet when the appliance is not
in use, left unattended, or when the carafe is empty.
22. Do not use this appliance for other than its
intended use.
23. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during
the brewing cycles.
24. To reduce the risk of re, do not place unit over or
near any portion of a heating or cooking appliance.
25. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not mount over
a sink.
26. To reduce the risk of re, do not store anything
directly on top of the appliance surface when the
appliance is in operation.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT
SAFEGUARDS
WARNING: This Coffee Maker generates heat and escaping
steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken
to prevent the risk of burns, res, or other injury
to persons or damage to property.
1. All users of this Coffee Maker must read and understand
this instruction manual before operating or cleaning
this Coffee Maker.
2. The cord to this Coffee Maker should be plugged
into a 3-prong 120V AC electrical outlet electrical
outlet only.
3. Use water only in this Coffee Maker! Do not put any
other liquids or food products in this Coffee Maker.
Do not mix or add anything to the water placed in this
Coffee Maker, except as instructed in the CLEAN section
of this instruction manual to descale the Coffee Maker.
4. DO NOT attempt to move a Coffee Maker containing hot
liquids. Allow Coffee Maker to cool completely before
moving.
5. Keep Coffee Maker at least 4 inches away from walls
or other objects during operation. Do not place any
objects on top of Coffee Maker while it is operating.
Place the Coffee Maker on a surface that is resistant
to heat.

6. If this Coffee Maker begins to malfunction during use,
immediately press and unplug the cord. Do not use or
attempt to repair the malfunctioning Coffee Maker.
Call Consumer Service.
7. If this Coffee Maker falls or accidentally becomes
immersed in water or any other liquid, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water! Do not use
this Coffee Maker after it has fallen into or has become
immersed in water.
CAUTION: Allow 15 minutes for the Coffee Maker to cool
sufciently before adding water to the water reservoir.
8. Always use fresh, cool water in your Coffee Maker.
Warm water or other liquids, except as listed in
cleaning section, may cause damage to the Coffee Maker.
9. DO NOT put carafe into a microwave oven.
10. DO NOT leave empty carafe on warming plate when the
Coffee Maker is turned ON, as the carafe may crack or
become otherwise damaged. Press to turn Coffee Maker
OFF.
11. This Coffee Maker is equipped with Pause & Serve.
The ow valve is located on the bottom of the removable
lter basket and is activated when the carafe
is removed. This design makes it possible for you
to remove the carafe and pour a cup of coffee before
the entire carafe is brewed.
CAUTION: To prevent injury when utilizing the Pause
& Serve feature, replace carafe within 30 seconds
of removing during brewing process.

GROUNDED 3-CONDUCTOR PLUG
This appliance is equipped with a grounded-type 3-wire
cord (3-prong plug). This plug will only t into an
electrical outlet made for a 3-prong plug. This is a safety
feature. If the plug should fail to t the outlet,
contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
NOTES ON THE CORD
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply
cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords
are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord
is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable
power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounding- type 3-wire cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter top or table top where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

PLASTICIZER WARNING
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the
nish of the counter top or table top or other furniture,
place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the
appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top.
Failure to do so may cause the nish to darken; permanent
blemishes may occur, or stains can appear.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other
appliances, your appliance may not operate properly.
It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other appliances.
CARAFE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not use a cracked carafe having a loose or weakened
handle.
2. This carafe is designed to be used only on the warming
plate of this Coffee Maker. Do not use in a conventional
oven.
3. To avoid breakage, handle carafe with care. Avoid
impact. Glass will break as a result of impact. Use
care when lling with water to avoid hitting faucet.
4. Do not place hot carafe on cool or wet surface.
Allow to cool before washing or adding liquids.
5. Do not set empty carafe on a hot heating surface.
Do not clean with steel wool pads, abrasive cleanser,
or any other materials that may scratch.

6. Do not bump, scratch, or boil dry.
7. Discard carafe if it is cracked, scratched, or heated
while empty for an extended period of time.
8. Your carafe is has a specially sealed, drip-through,
removable lid.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the
spout before pouring hot coffee. (Figure 1)

Coffee Yield
Coffee Maker: 14 (5-oz.) cups
NOTE: A 5-oz. cup is the American industry standard and is used by most Coffee
Maker manufacturers. To ll your favorite over-sized mug, ll Coffee Maker
reservoir with enough water for 3 to 4 cups (15 to 20 ounces).
NOTE: The amount of brewed coffee will always be less than the amount of water
placed into the water reservoir; as much as 10% may be absorbed by coffee
grounds and lter.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE THE BOTTOM
COVER. NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REPAIR SHOULD BE DONE BY AUTHORIZED
SERVICE PERSONNEL ONLY.
Permanent Filter Basket
1. Eco-friendly, the reusable permanent lter basket eliminates the need
for disposable papers lters.
2. The at-bottomed permanent lter basket sits easily on any at,
clean surface for easy, mess-free lling.
3. After brewing, lift to open the Coffee Maker lid. Unfold the permanent
lter basket handle to lift it up and out of the removable lter basket
holder; discard used coffee grounds, rinse and replace.
4. Fold handle down and close the Coffee Maker lid.

• When BREW/OFF is pressed, a tone will sound, the control panel
will illuminate and remain active for 20 seconds. The BREW/OFF button
will then pulse slowly on and off until the BREW/OFF button is pressed
once more to activate the unit and coffee will begin to brew.
• Press BREW/OFF at any time to begin brewing or to turn the Coffee
Maker OFF.
• Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 1.5 seconds to set
FUTURE BREW TIME.
• Use the + and - buttons to adjust the time until the desired
FUTURE BREW TIME has been selected.
• Press the PROGRAM button to conrm the FUTURE BREW TIME has been set or
wait 5 seconds to conrm the time.
• The PROGRAM button will stay illuminated indicating that the coffee
maker is now programmed for future brew.
• Press - to adjust the HOUR.
• Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
• Press and hold + or - to fast reverse or fast advance time.
• Press SELECT to set Strength, 1-4 cups, Clock, Clean, or Keep Warm.

Brew Strength
• Press SELECT to until STRENGTH illuminates.
• Press + or - to choose from 3 brew STRENGTHS: Regular, Gourmet,
or Bold
• The active brew strength is displayed on the control panel.
1 - 4 Cup
IMPORTANT: The 1-4 CUPS option must be programmed immediately
before brewing.
• Press SELECT to until 1-4 CUPS illuminates.
• When brewing 1 to 4 (5 oz.) cups of coffee, the 1-4 CUPS option
automatically adjusts the brewing process for maximum flavor.
• Press the BREW/OFF button to begin brewing.
NOTE: The Coffee Maker will not measure water quantity. When using
the 1 - 4 Cup Mode, the entire water reservoir will brew.
Keep warm
• KEEP WARM time defaults to 4:00 hours but can be adjusted from
00:00 minutes to 4:00 hours.
• Press SELECT to until KEEP WARM illuminates.
• Press + or - to adjust KEEP WARM time.
Clean
• If descaling is necessary, press SELECT to until CLEAN illuminates.
• Please follow detailed instructions in the CLEAN section of this
instruction manual for optimal results.
• After every 300 brews, CLEAN will automatically ash.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Remove all packing material
and labels from the inside
and outside of the Coffee
Maker. Place the unit on a at,
clean surface.
2. Before preparing coffee,
thoroughly clean the glass
carafe, carafe lid, removable
lter basket, permanent lter
basket and coffee scoop in hot,
sudsy water. Rinse and dry.
Replace disassembled parts.
NOTE: The carafe, carafe lid,
removable lter basket holder
and permanent lter basket
are all top-rack dishwasher
safe. The coffee scoop should
be placed in the dishwasher
alongside the cutlery.
3. Clean the inside of the Coffee
Maker by brewing 2 full carafes
of tap water (see Brewing
Coffee Instructions). Do not
add the permanent lter basket
or ground coffee for this
initial cleaning.
4. Attach the charcoal lter
into location on the base
of the water reservoir.

Operation
1. Lift the Coffee Maker lid to view the stepped water level indicator.
Make sure the charcoal lter is attached into location on the base
of the water reservoir. (Figure. 1)
2. Fill carafe with cold tap or distilled water and carefully pour into
water reservoir. (Figure. 2)
CAUTION: Never operate the Coffee Maker when the water reservoir
is empty.
IMPORTANT: Before brewing, always make sure water level is past
the 2-cup step and add water if needed.
CAUTION: Never add water to exceed the 14-cup step.
3. Close the carafe lid and place the empty carafe into position
on the warming plate.
4. Drop the removable lter basket into the housing.
5. Place the permanent lter basket on a at, clean surface. Use the coffee
scoop to add 1 scoop of ground coffee for every cup of coffee.
Adjust to your personal preference. (Figure. 3)
6. Drop the coffee-lled permanent lter basket into the removable lter
basket holder. Fold the permanent lter basket handle down.
7. Close the lid.
8. Plug the power cord into a 3-prong 120V AC electrical outlet.
A tone will sound. The default time: 12:00 AM will begin to ash
and the control panel will illuminate for 5 seconds.
NOTE: Press SELECT until the icon ashes. Press the - button to turn
the beep sound off. The icon is displayed next to the time on the
control panel. To turn the beep on, press SELECT until the icon ashes
and press the + button. The icon will disappear with one beep sound.
When the FILTER icon is illuminated on the control panel, it indicates
that the charcoal lter needs to be replaced. To eliminate the FILTER
icon, press SELECT until FILTER ashes. Press the - or + button. FILTER
will disappear from the control panel.

Brew Coffee Now
1. To brew coffee immediately: Press BREW/OFF (Figure. 4). By default,
Regular brew will illuminate
2. When brewing is complete, 3 audible tones will sound. The Coffee Maker
will display 0:00, as it advances to KEEP WARM. The time will begin
to count up to 4:00 hours.
IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
3. At the end of KEEP WARM, 2 audible tones will sound as the Coffee Maker
turns itself OFF.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the spout before
pouring hot coffee.
Set the Current Time
1. When the Coffee Maker is plugged in, a tone will sound. The default
time: 12:00 AM will begin to ash and the control panel will illuminate
for 5 seconds.
2. The default time, 12:00 AM will be displayed.
3. Press - to adjust the HOUR.
4. Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
NOTE: Pay attention to AM and PM setting.
NOTE: The Coffee Maker will advance to sleep mode within 20 seconds
if no buttons are pressed.
5. To re-set the clock, press SELECT until CLOCK illuminates, the time will
ash. Use + or - to adjust the time.

6. To adjust the brew strength, press SELECT until STRENGTH illuminates.
Press + to increase from Regular to Gourmet to Bold
Press – to decrease brew STRENGTH.
NOTE: For your convenience, the last chosen brew STRENGTH will
be the default for the next carafe of brewed coffee.
IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
CAUTION: Always make sure the lid is aligned with the spout before
pouring hot coffee.
Brew Later
1. The Coffee Maker can be programmed to begin brewing up to 24 hours
in the future.
WARNING: Make sure the Coffee Maker is set up to brew coffee.
Fill the water reservoir, add fresh ground coffee to the permanent lter
basket, close the lid. Place the empty carafe with lid in the center
of the warming plate.
2. Press and hold the PROGRAM button for 1.5 seconds. The last programmed
FUTURE BREW TIME begin to ash.
3. Press - to adjust the HOUR.
4. Press + to adjust the MINUTES.
NOTE: Pay attention to AM and PM setting.
Press the PROGRAM button or wait 5 seconds to conrm the time.
Only the PROGRAM button will illuminate
5. When the pre-programmed time is reached, brewing will begin.
6. At the end of the brew cycle, 3 audible tones will signal completion
and the Coffee Maker will advance to KEEP WARM .
7. To start brew time at the same time the next day, simply press the
PROGRAM button, the PROGRAM button will illuminate.

Pause & Serve
Pause & Serve allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the entire carafe
is brewed. Return the carafe to the warming plate; dripping will resume.
CAUTION: Replace carafe under the lter basket within 30 seconds
to prevent overow.
Beautiful Hints For Great Tasting Coffee
• A clean Coffee Maker is essential for brewing great tasting coffee.
Regular cleaning, as described in the CLEAN section of this instruction
manual, is highly recommended.
• Always use fresh, cold water in your Coffee Maker.
• Finer grinds, such as drip and ADC coffee, promote fuller extraction
and provide rich, full-bodied coffee.
• For optimum taste, program your Coffee Maker to brew coffee to your
preferred STRENGTH Choose from Regular, Gourmet, or Bold
• For optimum brewed coffee avor, buy whole beans and grind just
before brewing.
• Do not re-use coffee grounds since this will greatly impair coffee
avor.
• Reheating coffee is not recommended. Coffee is at its peak avor
immediately after brewing.
• Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee is due
to the extraction of oil from the coffee grounds. Oiliness may occur
more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used. Overextraction
may also cause oiliness, indicating a need to clean your Coffee Maker.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable
parts. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be
performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.

Care & Cleaning Instructions
1. Always make sure Coffee Maker is unplugged and warming plate is cool
before attempting to clean.
2. After every use, remove the permanent lter basket, discard used coffee
grounds, and rinse thoroughly.
3. Wash the removable lter basket and glass carafe in hot, sudsy water.
Pull the carafe lid out of the carafe and scrub with a soaped kitchen
brush. The carafe, carafe lid, removable lter basket holder and the
permanent lter basket are all top-rack dishwasher safe. The coffee
scoop should be placed in the dishwasher alongside the cutlery.
WARNING: To avoid breakage, handle carafe with care. Avoid impact.
Glass will break as a result of impact. Use care when lling with water
to avoid hitting faucet.
4. Wipe the Coffee Maker exterior with a damp cloth to remove supercial
stains. For stubborn stains, use a nylon or plastic pad with a non-
abrasive cleanser. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers.
5. Dry and replace disassembled parts. Make sure the removable lter basket
drops down and is properly seated into the housing.
6. Close the lid.
Clean
IMPORTANT: To assure optimal avor and performance of your Coffee Maker, when
used regularly, and under normal conditions, it is recommended that the CLEAN
cycle be run every 300 uses. The CLEAN will automatically ash on the display to
alert you that CLEAN is necessary.
IMPORTANT: Before running CLEAN, remove the charcoal lter and lter holder
from the water reservoir. Set aside for later use. Do not use any lter
in the removable lter holder.
NOTE: The entire cleaning cycle will take 45 to 60 minutes to complete.

1. Minerals in water can detract from the avor of the coffee and possibly
lengthen brew time. It is recommended that the CLEAN cycle be run when
it ashes (after 300 uses).
IMPORTANT: Always remove the permanent lter basket and removable lter
basket before activating CLEAN cycle.
2. Combine 6 cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of cold water in the carafe.
3. Pour vinegar solution into the water reservoir and close Coffee Maker
lid.
4. Place the empty carafe onto the warming plate.
5. Press SELECT until CLEAN illuminates. Press BREW/OFF. An audible tone
will sound as the CLEAN cycle begins. CLEAN and remaining cleaning
time will be illuminated on the display. Part of the mixture will pass
through the brew cycle in a slow 5 minute sequence. During the CLEAN
cycle, the remaining mixture will be held in the Coffee Maker and then
dispensed periodically for 45 minutes.
IMPORTANT! Press BREW/OFF at any time to turn the Coffee Maker OFF.
6. At the end of CLEAN cycle, 3 audible tones will sound, CLEAN will
disappear from the display and Coffee Maker will turn itself OFF
automatically.
7. Discard water in the carafe. Wash carafe, removable lter basket and
permanent lter basket in hot sudsy water.
8. Brew 2 or 3 carafes of fresh water through the Coffee Maker brewing
coffee again.
9. Dry parts thoroughly.
10. Replace the removable lter basket in the housing, then drop the clean
permanent lter basket into place. Lower the lid.
11. Place the empty carafe in position on the warming plate.

Storing Instructions
1. Never store Coffee Maker while it is still plugged in.
2. Unplug Coffee Maker and allow it to cool.
3. Store Coffee Maker fully assembled, the permanent lter basket
and removable lter basket in position. Place the carafe on the warming
tray. Close the lid.
4. Use the cord storage area located on the bottom of the Coffee Maker
to store cord.
5. Store Coffee Maker in its box or in a cool, dry place.

from mechanical defects in material
and workmanship, and for 90 days in

& Serve (Pausar y servir). La válvula de ujo se

ATENCIÓN: Para evitar daños al utilizar la función

NOTAS SOBRE EL CABLE
a) Se debe utilizar un cable de alimentación corto (o un
cable de alimentación desconectable) para reducir el

largos o prolongadores y pueden usarse si se hace con

Cafetera: 14 tazas (5 oz/148 ml)
NOTA: Una taza de 5 oz (148 ml) es la taza estándar de la industria
estadounidense y es la que utiliza la mayoría de los fabricantes de cafeteras.
Para llenar su jarro favorito extragrande, llene el depósito de la cafetera con
la cantidad de agua suciente para 3 o 4 tazas (15 a 20 onzas/444 a 591 ml).
NOTA: La cantidad de café preparado siempre será inferior a la cantidad de agua
colocada en el depósito; un 10 % es absorbido por el café molido y el ltro.

1. La canastilla de ltrado duradera reutilizable es ecológica y elimina la

Funcionamiento
1. Levantar la tapa de la cafetera para ver el indicador de nivel de agua.

3. Cerrar la tapa de la jarra y colocar la jarra vacía en su lugar sobre
la placa de calentamiento.
4. Colocar la canastilla de ltrado desmontable dentro de la carcasa.
5. Colocar la canastilla de ltrado duradera sobre una supercie plana
y limpia. Usar la cuchara para café para agregar 1 cucharada de café
molido por cada taza deseada.
Ajustar a su preferencia personal.

Preparar café ahora
1. Para preparar café de inmediato: Presionar BREW/OFF (Preparar/apagar).
Se iluminará Regular de forma predeterminada.
2. Cuando la preparación esté completa se oirán 3 tonos. La cafetera
mostrará 0:00, porque pasa a KEEP WARM (Mantener caliente). Comenzará a
correr el tiempo hasta las 4:00 horas.
IMPORTANTE: Presionar el botón BREW/OFF en cualquier momento para apagar

Pausar y servir
La función Pausar y servir le permite verter una taza de café antes de que
se prepare toda la jarra. Al volver a colocar la jarra sobre la placa
de calentamiento el goteo se reanudará.
ATENCIÓN: Volver a colocar la jarra bajo la canastilla de ltrado antes
de los 30 segundos para evitar desbordamientos.

• A clean Coffee Maker is essential for brewing great tasting coffee.
Regular cleaning, as described in the CLEAN section of this instruction
manual, is highly recommended.
• Always use fresh, cold water in your Coffee Maker.
• Finer grinds, such as drip and ADC coffee, promote fuller extraction
and provide rich, full-bodied coffee.
• For optimum taste, program your Coffee Maker to brew coffee to your
preferred STRENGTH Choose from Regular, Gourmet, or Bold
• For optimum brewed coffee avor, buy whole beans and grind just
before brewing.
• Do not re-use coffee grounds since this will greatly impair
coffee avor.
• Reheating coffee is not recommended. Coffee is at its peak avor
immediately after brewing.
• Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee is due
to the extraction of oil from the coffee grounds. Oiliness may occur
more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used. Overextraction
may also cause oiliness, indicating a need to clean your Coffee Maker.

1. Asegurarse siempre de que la cafetera esté desconectada y que la placa
de calentamiento esté fría antes de intentar limpiarla.
2. Retirar la canasta del ltro permanente después de cada uso, desechar
los granos de café usados y enjuagar bien.
3. Lavar la canasta del ltro extraíble y la jarra de vidrio en agua
caliente y con jabón. Quitar la tapa de la jarra y frotar con un cepillo
de cocina enjabonado. La jarra, la tapa de la jarra, el soporte de la
canasta del ltro extraíble y la canasta del ltro permanente son aptos
para la rejilla superior del lavavajillas. La cuchara para café debe
colocarse en el lavavajillas junto con los cubiertos.
ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar que se rompa, manipular la jarra con cuidado.
Evitar los impactos. El vidrio se romperá si sufre impactos. Utilizar
con cuidado al llenarla con agua para evitar que golpee contra el grifo.
4. Limpiar el exterior de la cafetera con un paño húmedo para quitar
las manchas superciales. Para las manchas rebeldes, usar una esponjilla
de nailon o plástico con un limpiador no abrasivo. No usar esponjillas
metálicas ni limpiadores abrasivos.
5. Secar las piezas y volver a colocarlas. Asegurarse de que la canasta
del ltro extraíble descienda y se encaje correctamente en la carcasa.
6. Cerrar la tapa.

IMPORTANTE: Para asegurar un sabor y un rendimiento óptimos de su cafetera,
cuando se usa con regularidad y en condiciones normales, se recomienda que
el ciclo de LIMPIEZA se ejecute cada 300 usos. La palabra CLEAN (LIMPIAR)
parpadeará automáticamente en la pantalla para avisar que es necesaria una
LIMPIEZA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de ejecutar la LIMPIEZA, retirar el ltro de carbón y su
recipiente del depóstio de agua. Reservar para usar más tarde. No utilizar
ningún ltro en el recipiente extraíble del ltro.
NOTA: El ciclo de limpieza completo tardará entre 45 y 60 minutos en
completarse.

1. Los minerales en el agua pueden restar valor al sabor del café
y posiblemente extender el tiempo de elaboración. Se recomienda que
el ciclo de LIMPIEZA se ejecute cuando parpadee (después de 300 usos).
IMPORTANTE: Retirar SIEMPRE la canasta del ltro permanente y la canasta
del ltro extraíble antes de activar el ciclo de LIMPIEZA.
2. Combinar 6 tazas de vinagre blanco y 4 tazas de agua fría en la jarra.
3. Verter la solución de vinagre en el depósito de agua y cerrar la tapa
de la cafetera.
4. Colocar la jarra vacía sobre la placa calentadora.
5. Presionar SELECT (SELECCIONAR) hasta que se ilumine CLEAN (LIMPIAR).
Presionar BREW/OFF (PREPARAR/APAGAR). Se escuchará un tono cuando
comience el ciclo de LIMPIEZA. La palabra LIMPIAR y el tiempo
de limpieza restante se iluminarán en la pantalla. Parte de la mezcla
pasará por el ciclo de preparación en una secuencia lenta de 5 minutos.
Durante el ciclo de LIMPIEZA, la mezcla restante se mantendrá
en la cafetera y luego se expulsará periódicamente durante 45 minutos.
¡IMPORTANTE! Presionar el botón BREW/OFF en cualquier momento para apagar
la cafetera.
6. Al nal del ciclo de LIMPIEZA, se escucharán 3 tonos claros,
la palabra LIMPIAR desaparecerá de la pantalla y la cafetera
se apagará automáticamente.
7. Desechar el agua de la jarra. Lavar la jarra, la canasta del ltro
extraíble y la canasta del ltro permanente con agua caliente y jabón.
8. Preparar nuevamente dos o tres cargas de agua fría a través
de la cafetera para preparar café.
9. Secar bien todas las piezas.
10. Colocar nuevamente la canasta del ltro extraíble en la carcasa,
luego, una vez limpia, colocar la canasta del ltro permanente
en su lugar. Bajar la tapa.
11. Colocar la jarra vacía en su posición sobre la placa calentadora.

Instrucciones de almacenamiento
1. Nunca guardar la cafetera mientras aún esté enchufada.
2. Desenchufar la cafetera y dejar que se enfríe.
3. Guardar la cafetera completamente armada, la canasta de ltro permanentey
la canasta de ltro extraíble en posición. Colocar la jarra en la
bandeja calentadora. Cerrar la tapa.
4. Utilizar el área de almacenamiento de cables ubicada en la parte
inferior de la cafetera para guardar el cable.
5. Guardar la cafetera en su caja o en un lugar fresco y seco.
