Playing and Practice Songs
You can simply enjoy listening to the internal Songs, or use them with just about any of
the functions, such as lesson.

Select the desired Song for playback
(page 14).

Press the [START/STOP] button to start
playback.
To stop playback, press the [START/STOP] but-
ton again.
A-B Repeat
While playing a Song, press the [A-B REPEAT] but-
ton at the point you want to specify as the start point
(A). Press the button again at the point you want to
specify as the end point (B).
To cancel repeat playback, press the button again.
To change the tempo:
Refer to t [TEMPO/TAP] button on page 12.
To listen only one part of a Song:
While playing a Song, press the [R] or [L] button to
mute the part to that you do not want to listen. For
example, pressing the [L] button to mute the left part
enables you to listen and practice only right part.
To adjust the Song Volume:
Adjust the Song Volume via “SongVol” (Function
Number 010; page 21).

Select the desired Song for lesson (page
14).

Press either or both the [R] and [L] buttons
to select the part you want to practice.
“Left” or “Right” or “BothHand” will appear on the
display.

Select and press one of the buttons cor-
responding to the desired lesson (from
the three below) and start the lesson.
Lesson 1 - Listen & Learn
The part you selected will sound as a model. Lis-
ten to it carefully and remember it well.
Lesson 2 - Timing
Learn to play the notes at the correct timing.
Even if you play wrong notes, the correct notes
shown in the display will sound.
Lesson 3 - Waiting
Learn to play the correct notes shown on the dis-
play. The Song pauses until you play the right note.

When Lesson playback reaches to the
end, check your evaluation Grade (Excel-
lent!, Very Good!, Good, or OK) on the
display. (Only for Lesson 2 and 3)

Press the [START/STOP] button to stop
the Lesson mode.
Playing Songs
(See page 12.)
Displayed:
Part will be played back.
Not displayed:
Part is muted.
Using the Song Lesson Feature
In this step, “No LPart” may appear, indicating that the
current Song does not contain a left-hand part.
When starting playback of the Song Lesson, the Voice
changes to “000” (OTS; page 12).
Chord Study
You can hear and experience the sound of the chords
used in a typical performance by playing back Song num-
bers 101 to 112 (in the “CHORD STUDY” category). For
details, refer to the “Song List” on page 32.
