After each use
1.Turnthepoweroffandremovetheplug
fromthepoweroutlet.
2.Allowtheirontocoolbeforewinding
thecordaroundthebuilt-incordwrap.
Storage
Emptythewatertankbeforestorage.
Alwaysstoretheirononthebaseofthe
steamgenerator.
Cleaning
Tocleantheexteriorofyouriron,wipe
overwithadampsoftclothandwipedry.
Caution:Donotuseharshabrasives,
chemicalcleanersorsolventstocleanthe
exteriorofyourironasthesewilldamage
thesurface.
Cleaning the steam holes
Toremovebuildupfromthesteamholes
whichmayaffectsteamperformance,
useacottonwooltipmoistenedin
methylatedspirits.
Cleaning the soleplate
Wipewithasoftdampclothandwipedry.
Caution:Donotusescouringpads,
abrasivesorharshcleanerstocleanyour
TeflonPlatinumProsoleplate,asthesewill
scratchanddamagethesurface.
Calc Clean Reminder
Mineraldepositsintapwatersolidify
whenthewaterisheatedandcanbuild
upinthesteamholesandboilersystem
whichcanaffectsteamperformance.Itis
importanttoregularlyflushouttheboiler
tomaintaintheperformanceoftheironing
system.
TheCalcCleanlightilluminatesWHITE
toremindyouwhenitistimetoflushthe
boiler.TheCalcCleanlightilluminates
afterapproximately20hoursofuse.

Ironing System Descaling Tablets
NOTE:1x6gdescalingtablet(SR0100)has
beenincludedwiththeSR8700.These
arealsoavailablefromselectedretailers.
Dissolve1x6gtabletin250mlofwater
beforeuse.
1.Toflushtheboiler,turntheunitoffand
waitforittocoolcompletely(approx2
hours).
2.Placetheunitonawaterproofsurface,
orontheedgeofthesink.
Caution:Iftheunithasbeenusedpriorto
cleaningtheboilercapwillbeveryhot.
Ensurethattheunithascooledcompletely
beforecommencingtheCalccleaning
process.
3.Slowlyturnthecalccleanreleasevalve
anticlockwise.Seefig6.
Note:Theboilercapneedstobereleased
slowlytoreleaseanyremainingsteam.
