Select ExtraRinse (selectmodels).
Checkwatertemperature. Incomingwatershouldbe 120° -140° F (49-60° C).
Always use arinse aid.
Confirmthat the cloudinessis removablebysoakingthe iteminwhite vinegarfor approximately5 minutes. If removed,the problemis due
tohardwater. Adjust detergentamountbeingused to matchwater hardness(pg.5). Besuredetergentisfresh, stored properlyand isa
highquality brand.
Ifcloudinessisnot removable, itis etching. Thisis an erosionof thesurface ofthe glasswareandconbe causedby waterthat is too hot,
from using too much detergent or by prewashing. Detergent needs food soil to act upon. If etchinghas occurred, the glassware is
permanentlydamaged. Topreventfurtheretching,adjustthe detergentamounttomatchthe waterhardness,stopprewashing,andbe sure
incomingwatertemperatureis not greaterthan 140° F(60° C). Usewater heatingoptionsonlywhenincomingwatertemperatureis below
120° F (49° C).
Checkwatertempereture(pg5).
Runhot wateratthesink beforestarting thedishwasher.
SelectToughScrub" or ToughScrub" Plus(selectmodels).
Checkwater hardnessand adjust detergentamountaccordingly(pg.5).
Usefresh detergentstoredin a cooldry place.
Selectproper cyclefor the soil level.
Makesurethe upperrackwasharm connectoriscorrectlyalignedin oneof the waterinletholes (pg.3).
Loaditemsso they do not blockthewash arms(pg.2-4).
Loadthe utensil basketwith knife handlesupand spoonandfork handlesdown throughthe slotsinthe covers.
Do not placeglassesovertines.
Priorto loading,scrape off burnton foods and wipethestarchyfilmfrom utensilsusedwithpasta,dce andoatmeal. These soils require
moreenergythanthe restof the load toclean.
Aluminumutensilsor panscan leavemarkswhentheyrubagainstotheritems.Leavea slightspace betweenitems.
Irondeposits in the water can leave ayellow, brownor orange filmon dishes or the dishwashertub.Afiltermay be needed,checkwith a
watertreatmentcompany.
Separatesilveror silver-platedsilverwarefrom stainlesssteel. These metalscan be damagedbycontactwitheach other duringwashing.
Color fromtomatosauces may adhereto the tub(pg. 8). Iflight staininghas occurred,leavethe deer opento oxidizethe stainaway. For
removalof heavier stains, try CascadePlasticBooster PlasticCleaningAdditive*. Change dishwasherdetergentand be sure to use a
dishwasherdetergentthatcontainschlodnetobetter fight staining.
Be sureHeatedDryisselected.
Waterdroplets mayform on the innerdoor aspartofthe drying process.
Use arinseaid likeJet Dry" or CascadeRinseAid* regularly,to improvedrying. Turnthe dnse aidselectortowardsthe MAXsetting.
