9.8 CUTTING TIPS
• Tilt the machine toward the area to be cut. Use the
tip of the cutting line to cut grass.
• Move the machine from right to left to prevent
thrown debris from hitting the operator.
• Do not cut in the danger area.
• Do not force the trimmer head into uncut grass.
• Wire and picket fences cause cutting line wear and
breakage. Stone and brick walls, curbs, and wood
can wear the cutting line quickly.

9.9 CHANGE TO THE EDGING MODE
NOTE
You can change the trimmer to an edger to keep
patios, driveways and sidewalks well groomed.
1. Stop the machine.
2. Push on the edge button (1) and rotate the
trimmer head until the guard and the shaft are
parallel.

3. Push the rotate button (2) and turn the rear
handle clockwise 90°.

4. Loosen the knob (3) on the auxiliary handle and
turn the auxiliary handle to a comfortable position.
5. Tighten the knob.
