OPERATION

This unit has additional menus that are displayed in the
front panel display. The advanced setup menu offers
additional operations to adjust and customize the way this
unit operates. Change the initial settings (indicated in bold
under each parameter) to reflect the needs of your
listening environment.

STANDBY/ON,

PROGRAMl / h and

STRAIGHT are effective while you are using the advanced
setup menu.
No other operations can be made while you are using the
advanced setup menu.
The advanced setup menu is only available in the front panel
display.
1 Press

STANDBY/ON on the front panel to
set this unit to the standby mode.
2 Press and hold
0
TONE CONTROL and
then press
1
STANDBY/ON to turn on this
unit.
This unit turns on, and the advanced setup menu
appears in the front panel display.
3 Press

PROGRAM
l / h to select the
parameter you want to adjust.
The name of the selected parameter appears in the
front panel display.
4 Press
B
STRAIGHT repeatedly to change
the selected parameter setting.

STANDBY/ON to confirm your
selection and set this unit to the standby
mode.

The settings you made are reflected next time you turn on this
unit.
Factory presets PRESET
Use this feature to reset all the parameters of this unit to
the initial factory settings.
Choices: CANCEL, RESET
Select “CANCEL” not to reset any parameters of this
unit.
Select “RESET” to reset the parameters of this unit.
This setting completely resets all the parameters of this unit
including the set menu parameters. However, the advanced
setup menu parameters will not be initialized.
The initial factory settings are activated next time you turn on
this unit.
Tuner frequency step TU
(Asia and General models only)
Use this feature to set the tuner frequency step according
to the frequency spacing in your area.
Choices: AM10/FM100, AM9/FM50
Select “AM10/FM100” for North, Central and South
America.
Select “AM9/FM50” for all other areas.
