Installation
Notes:
• Hard drives are sensitive to static electricity and
must be handled properly to prevent data loss.
Always handle your hard drive with caution: wear
an anti-static strap, such as the Tripp Lite
P999-000, when transporting it, or touch a
grounded metal surface to discharge yourself of
static electricity before picking up the drive.
• If your SATA hard drive has not been formatted,
you will first need to format it using your
computer’s Disk Management utility.
• Before unplugging the adapter, make sure to
properly eject the drive from your computer to
avoid any potential data loss.
1. Connect the built-in USB-A or USB-C plug
on the device to the USB-A or USB-C port
on your laptop, tablet or computer.
2. Insert a CFast Memory Card into the
appropriate port on the device.
3. Insert a SATA drive into the appropriate port
on the device. Take care to keep the drive
at a low angle to minimize stress on the
connector.
