IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CONNECTING ELECTRICITY
_ Electrical Shock Hazard.
Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet
Do not remove the ground prong
Do not use an adapter
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground} prong from the power cord.
For personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
The power cord ofthis appliance isequipped with a 3-prong
(grounding) plug which motes with a standard 3-prong
(grounding)wall outlet to minimize the possibility of electric
shock hazardfrom this appliance.
Hove the wall outlet and circuit checked by oqualified
electrician to make surethe outlet isproperly grounded.
Where a standard 2-prong wall outlet isencountered, it is
your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced
with aproperly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. Do not useon
adopter.
The refrigerator should always be plugged into its own
individual electrical outlet which has ovoltage rating that
matches the rating plate.This providesthe best performance
and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits which
could cause ofire hazard from overheated wires.
Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord.
Always grip plug firmly and pullstraight out from the outlet.
Repairor replace immediately all power cords that hove
become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not useo cord that
shows crocks or abrasion damage along its length or at either
end.
When moving the refrigerator away from the wall, be careful
not to rollover or damage the power cord.
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS
Becauseof potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against the useof an
extension cord.
However, ifyou must use an extension cord, it isabsolutely necessarythat it be a UL-listed(inthe United States)or
a CSA-listed(in Canada),3-wire grounding type appliance extensioncord having a grounding type plug and outlet
and that the electrical rating of the cord be 15 amperes (minimum) and 120 volts.
PROPER DISPOSAL OF YOUR OLD REFRIGERATOR
