WARNING!
Do not restore power to the water heater
before filling the tank with water!
Failure to completely fill the water tank
after replacing the heating elements can
result in the damage or failure of the
elements.
To properly fill the tank, open a hot water
faucet in your home and then turn on the
cold water supply to the water heater to fill
the tank.
Shut off the hot water faucet only after
getting a constant flow of water without
any air bleeding out of the line.
Once the tank is properly filled, restore
power to the water heater.
