Ifyou are throwing away your old refrigerator,make sure the
CFC refrigerant isremoved for proper disposal by a qualified
servicer. Ifyou intentionallyreleasethis CFC refrigerant,you can
be subjectto fines and imprisonment under provisionsof
environmental legislation.

FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, this appliance must be
properly grounded. Have the wall outlet and the circuit
checked by a qualified electrician to make sure the outlet
is properly grounded.

RECOMMENDED GROUNDING METHOD
The refrigeratorshould always beplugged intoits own individual
properly grounded electrical outlet ratedfor
115 Volts,60 Hz, AC only, and fused at 15 or 20 amperes.This
provides the best performance and also prevents overloading
housewiring circuitswhich could cause a firehazard from
overheated wires. It is recommendedthat a separate circuit
serving onlythis appliance be provided.
Use a receptaclewhich cannot be turned off with a switch or pull
chain. Do not usean extension cord.
Where a standard two-prong wall outlet is encountered,
itis your personal responsibilityand obligation to have itreplaced
with a properly grounded three-prong wall outlet.
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third
(ground) prongfrom the power cord.
Do not use an adapter plug.
NOTE: Before performing any type of installation, cleaning,or
removing a lightbulb,disconnect the refrigeratorfrom the
electricalsource.
NOTE: Some models have LED interiorlightingand service
should be performed by a qualifiedtechnician.
When you are are finished, reconnectthe refrigeratorto the
electricalsource and resetthe control (Thermostat, Refrigerator
Control,or Freezer Control,depending on the model)to the
desired setting.
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS
Because of potentialsafety hazards under certain
conditions,we strongly recommend againstthe use of an
extension cord. However,ifyou still elect touse
an extension cord, it isabsolutely necessary that it be a UL-listed
(USA), 3-wiregrounding type applianceextension cord having a
grounding type plug and outlet,and that theelectrical ratingof the
cordbe 15 amperes (minimum)and 120volts.
Use of an extension cordwill increase the clearance needed for
the back ofthe refrigerator.
