LAWN MOWER

• Clean entirelawn mower (See "CLEAN-
tNG"inthe Maintenancesectionofthis
manual).
• Lubricateas shown in the Maintenance
sectionofthis manual.
• Be sure that allnuts,bolts,screws,and pins
are securelyfastened. Inspect moving
partsfor damage, breakage and wear.
Replace ifnecessary.
• Touch up allrustodor chippedpaint
surfaces;sand lightly before painting.
HANDLE
Youcan fold yourlawnmowerhandlefor
storage.
• Squeeze the bottomends ofthe lower
handletowardeach other untilthe lower
handledears the handlebracket,then
move handleforward.
• Loosenupper handle mountingbolts
enoughto allow upperhandleto be folded
back.
IMPORTANT: When folding the handlefor
storageor transportation,be suretofoldthe
handleas shown or you any damage the
controlcables.
• When settingup your handlefrom the
=orage position,the lower handlewill
automaticallylock intothe mowingposition.

ENGINE
FUELSYSTEM
IMPORTANT: Itis important to prevent gum
deposits from forming in essential fuel system
parts such as carburetor, f fuel filter,fuel hose
or tank dudng storage. Also, experience
indicates that alcohol blended fuels ( called
gasohol or using ethanol or methanol) can
attract moisture which leads to separation and
formation of adds during storage. Acidic gas
can damage the fuel system of an engine
while in storage.
• Drain the fuel tank.
• Stad the engine and let itrun until the fuel
lines and cerburetor are empty,
• Never use engine or carburetor cleaner
products in the fuel tank or permanent
damage may occur.
• Use fresh fuel next season.
NOTE: Fuel stabilizer is an acceptable
aitemative in minimizing the formation of fuel
gum deposits during storage. Add stabilizer
to gasoline in fuel tank or storage container.
Always follow the mix ratiofound on stabilizer
container. Run engine at least 10 minutes
after adding stabilizer to allow the stabilizer to
reach the carburetor. Do not drain the gas
tank and carburetor if using fuel stabilizer.
