Try your tractor in a targe, open space, Avoid
ditches, slopes, etc. Keep area free of children
and animals, Learn to start, stop and reverse.
Start the engine and put the throttle _ever in the
SLOW position, refer to Fig. 8. Push down on
foot pedal, refer to Fig. 5, and move gear shift
lever, Fig. 6, to speed desired. Gradually let up
on foot pedal. DO NOT SHIFT GEARS WHILE
TRACTOR iS MOVING.
First Gear-- 1.1 M.P.H.
Second Gear -- 2,15 M.P.H.
Third Gear -- 3.75 M.P.H.
Fourth Gear-- 5.55 M.P.H.
Reverse Gear -- 2.89 M.P.H.
ENGINE LUBRICATION
1, Change oil in crankcase after first 2 hours of
operation. Engine should be warm when all is
changed.
TRANSAXLE LUBRICATION
I. Check oil in transaxte, after every 50 hours of
operation.

Drain oil every 500 hours.
To drain oil, unscrew drain plug under transaxle,
refer to Fig. 12, and catch oil in suitable con-
tamer.

drain oil, unscrew petcock at lower front
end of engine, refer to Fig. tl. Catch used oil
in suitable container.
3. Refill engine crankcase with oiI as instructed
in Engine Manual. Refer to Fig. 4 for location
of oil filler cap.
4. Check oil level after each 5 hours of operation
and add oil if necessary.
5. After first oil change, oil shouid be changed
after each 25 hours of operation.

grade multi-purpose extreme pressure gear lub-
ricant S.A.E. 90. FiJI through filler piug, Fig.
13. OiI capacity of transaxle is 4pints.
4, To check oil level, remove plug from front of
transaxJe, Fig.!2. Oil levet should be even
with this plug.
