Is the noise normal? Yes This is the pump mechanism working.

y product gives off steam.

his is normal during the first few times it
is used, the puffs of steam will stop once
the appliance has been used a few times.
The product makes a really strange
noise.
No more water left in the tank. Fill tank.
The product vibrates excessively? The water tank may not be fitted
s
ecurely.
Press the tank firmly into place.
Does the product produce boiling
water?
The product produces very hot water
just below boiling point.
We recommend that the cup is warmed
first. The temperature will drop
d
epending on how cold the cup is and
how cold the milk used is. It is a fact that
water heated at more than 95°C will
burn certain tea leaves and eliminate all
the essential flavours.
Water flow reduces Claris filter needs replacing or appliance
needs a descale

Is this normal?
Yes Also, check that the nozzle is screwed
on tightly.
A film has formed on my tea. Tea producers and consumers who live in
hard water areas are well aware of this
and it is a natural occurrence caused by
the oxygen in the air which oxidises some
of the the soluble materials in the brew
to form a film.
Problem well known in hard water areas
as hard water promotes film.
Where can I get Claris filters from? Claris filters can be purchased via our

How often should I replace the
Claris Filter?
After approx every 50L of water used.
After approx 6 weeks depending on
frequency of use. If the blue light turns
on.

How much power is consumed on
standby?
Approx. 1 Watt.
Is it normal for the pump to start
and stop?
Yes To obtain the hot water temperature,
the flow of water is regulated by the
pump.
There are particles in the water. Cartridge has not been rinsed. Before fitting a new Claris Filter
cartridge hold the new cartridge under
a tap and rinse it for 30 seconds under
running water to eliminate any carbon
residues. Then run a 220 ml cycle of
water into a container and discard it.
Can I use my Quick & Hot without
a filter?
Yes but for best results we recommend
the use of the Claris filter cartridge.
