CRUMPET

• UsetheCrumpetbuttontotoastcrumpetscrispontheinner-facingside,andsoftand

warm on the outside.

• Place the crumpets in the toaster with the top side of the crumpet facing the center of the

toaster.

• Press the Crumpet button. A darkness setting will appear in the LED display.

• Press the Lighter or Darker buttons to decrease or increase the setting.

• Press the Toast/Cancel button to start the Crumpet cycle.

• After 3 seconds the time countdown will appear in the LED display.

• Decrease or increase the setting at any time during the cycle by pressing the Lighter or

Darker button.

• To cancel the cycle at any time, press the Toast/Cancel button.

• At the end of the Crumpet cycle, the Crumpet and Toast/Cancel buttons will cease to be

illuminated.

NOTE: Crumpet mode works only in conjunction with the Toast/Cancel button. If the Crumpet

button is pressed prior to pressing the Front Slot Toast button, the toaster will sound two

error beeps and return to idle mode.

HINTS AND TIPS

• When toasting more than one slice of bread, use slices of similar size, thickness and

freshness.

• Old or thin bread will cook faster than fresh or thick bread, so use a lower setting.

• Donotusetorn,curledup,ormisshapenslicesofbread,asthesemayjamtheejection

mechanismandcouldcatchre.

• Sweet bread products (fruit loaf, etc.) brown much quicker than ordinary bread, so should

be toasted on a lighter setting.

• Shouldthebreadcarriagebecomejammedduringthetoastingcycle,donotattemptto

release it. Unplug the toaster and allow it to cool down before carefully removing the bread.

• Do not use a knife, fork or similar sharp instrument as these may damage the elements and

present a danger of electric shock.

CRUMBS

Crumbs will collect in the base of the toaster. Letting them build up can cause a fire hazard so it

is important to remove them frequently.

• Switch off the power and remove the plug from the wall power outlet.

• Pull out the crumb tray and empty out the crumbs.

• Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth.

• Dry thoroughly before sliding back into the base of the toaster.
