USING YOUR BIG BOSSĀ® SWIRLIO FROZEN DESSERT MAKER:
1
2
You can freeze any fruit.
BANANAS - Always peel the bananas prior to placing in the freezer. Bananas should be soft and over-ripe,
the skin should be spotted brown. Prior to making the dessert, freeze 1 or 2 bananas at a time. To ensure
best taste, use frozen bananas within 2 days. You may pre-cut the bananas prior to freezing. Keep in
freezer for at least 12 hours.
OTHER FRUITS - To achieve the best results, fruits have to be ripe prior to freezing. If the fruit has a pit,
stem or large seeds, please remove prior to placing in the freezer. Remove the skin from pineapple, kiwi
and other fruit with hard skin (all citrus fruit, mango, etc.). Pre-cut the fruit in 1-1.5 inch pieces. Freeze in
small batches for at least 12 hours. You may also use store bought frozen fruit.
IMPORTANT: Use the pusher to push ingredients into the chute. NEVER use your hands to force
food into the unit. DO NOT put fingers or objects into the dispenser spout.
Certain add-ins like candy may clog the Chute and Dispenser. If the frozen dessert stops flowing
(with the ingredients still in the chute), turn the unit off IMMEDIATELY and unplug from electrical
outlet. Disassemble the unit and clear the blockage. Assemble the unit back together and resume.
1. Remove frozen fruit from the freezer and let it thaw out for about 5-7 min.
2. Mix all of the frozen fruit in a large mixing bowl prior to inserting into the chute.
3. Turn on Swirlio, place a serving dish on the tray.
4. Insert frozen fruit into the chute and push it down using the pusher. Add chocolate or any other extras.
5. Keep experimenting! Refer to our recipe book for delicious recipes.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate the unit continuously for more than 15 minutes. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes
before using again. After three cycles, allow the unit to cool completely before using again.
Make sure the Chute, Spiral Grinder and Dispenser are securely locked in place before operating.
HELPFUL TIPS
As soon as you notice your bananas get brown
spots, peel, pre-cut in several pieces and freeze
in freezer-safe bags or containers. To ensure
best taste, use frozen bananas within 2 days.
If the fruit has a pit, stem or large seeds, please
remove prior to placing in the freezer. Remove the
skin from pineapple, kiwi and other fruit with hard
skin (all citrus fruit, mango, etc.).
You may pre-cut fruit prior to freezing. Separate
into small batches and keep in the freezer for
future use.
You can use the store bought frozen fruit.
If your fruit is too frozen, wait a few minutes for
it to thaw out before placing into Swirlio.
Swirlio is not limiting you to only frozen desserts.
You may use it to create dips, sauces and other
delectable foods.
Dress up your frozen creation just like you would
ice cream. Add sprinkles, chopped cookies or
nuts (or both!), chocolate syrup, caramel.
The possibilities are endless!
Prefer serving the frozen dessert as scoops?
Simply
transfer your newly created dessert into
the freezer
safe container and place in the freezer
for a couple of
hours (or until it hardens). When
ready, use ice cream scooper to serve.
Mix all of the frozen fruit in a large mixing bowl
prior to inserting into the chute.
For creamy, ice cream like texture, always use
bananas. Omit the bananas and you will get
more of a sorbet dessert.
Since there is no added sugar, you can indulge
any time of day, guilt-free!
When adding liquids like chocolate syrup, wait
a few seconds after the start. Stop before the
machine stops, to make sure it works itself
through the dessert.
Kids love popsicles! Just
transfer into popsicle
molds
and place in the freezer
until it hardens.
If adding nuts to the dessert, make sure it is
chopped or ground well.
