Confirmthat the cloudinessis removableby soakingthe itemin whitevinegarfor approximately5 minutes. If removed,the problemis due
to hardwater. Adjustdetergentamountbeingusedto matchwaterhardness(pg. 5). Besuredetergentis fresh,storedproperlyandis a
highqualitybrand.
Ifcloudinessis not removable,it is etching. Thisis an erosionof the surfaceof the glasswareandcan be causedby waterthatis toohot,
fromusingtoo muchdetergentor by prewashing.Detergentneedsfoodsoitto act upon. If etchinghasoccurred,the glasswareis perma-
nentlydamaged.Topreventfurtheretching,adjustthedetergentamountto matchthewaterhardness,stopprewashing,andbe sureincom-
ing watertemperatureis not greaterthan I40o F (600C). Use water heatingoptionsonly when incomingwater temperatureis below
120° F (49° C).
