CONVERTING HEATER FOR DIFFERENT ALTITUDES
This heater is shipped from the factory equipped with a #30 dms orifice for use at altitudes
from 0 to 2000 ft. To convert the heater for operation at altitudes between 2000 and
4500 ft., use the conversion kit part number 536673 available from:

The conversion to a high altitude operation shall be carried out by a manufacture’s
authorized representative, in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer,
provincial or territorial authorities having jurisdiction and in accordance with the
requirements of the CSA B149.1 or CSA B149.2 installation codes.
USA
For installation at elevations above 2000 ft (610 m), the appliance shall be de-rated
4 percent for each 1000 ft (305 m) of elevation above sea level.
Canada
Appliances are certified for altitudes of 2000 to 4500 ft. (610 – 1370 m) or 0 to 4500 ft.
(0 – 1370 m). High-altitude rating may be obtained by a change in manifold pressure in
accordance with Standard for Gas Appliances for Use at High Altitudes, CSA 2.17.
