51004762341inrespectof Appliancespurchasedin
AustraliaandElectrolux(NZ)Limitedinrespectof Appliances
purchasedinNewZealand;
(b) ‘Appliance’ meansanyElectroluxproductpurchasedbyyou
acc ompaniedbythisdocument;
(c) ‘WarrantyPeriod’ means
(i)whereyouusethe Applianceforpersonal,domesticor
householdpurposesin Australia theperiodof “24” months
andinNewZealandtheperiodof “24” months;
(ii)whereyouusethe Applianceforcommercialpurposes,in
Australia theperiodof “3” monthsandinNewZealandthe
periodof “3” months,(iftheperiodstatedis0monthsyou
arenotcoveredbythisproductwarranty)

2. Thiswarrantyonlyappliesto Appliancespurchasedandused
in AustraliaorNewZealandandisinadditionto(anddoesnot
exc lude,restrict,ormodifyinanyway)anynon-excludable
statutorywarrantiesin AustraliaorNewZealand.
3.Electroluxwarrantsthat,whendispatchedfromanElectrolux
warehouse,the Applianceisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipfortheWarra ntyPeriod.
4.DuringtheWarrantyPeriodElectroluxorits AuthorisedService
Centrewill,atnoextrachargeifyourapplianceisreadily
acc essiblewithoutspecialequipme nt,andsubjecttotheseterms
andconditions,repairorreplaceanypartswhichitconsidersto
bedef ective. Youagreetha tanyreplaced Appliancesorparts
becomethepropertyofElectrolux. Thiswarrantydoesnotapply
toli ghtglobes,batteries,filtersorsimilarperishableparts.
5.Partsand AppliancesnotsuppliedbyElectroluxarenotcovered
bythiswarranty.
6.WhereyouarewithinanElectroluxservicearea,thiswarranty
coversthecostoftransportofthe Appliancetoandfrom
AuthorisedServiceCentresofElectroluxandtravellingcostfor
representativesofthe Authoris edServiceCentretoandfrom

canbefoundontheundersideofthecooktop.

Cleaningyourhotplates
STAINLESSSTEEL CLEANING
Thetopsurfaceofthehotplatesaresealedwithaheatresistantcoating.Beforeusingforthefirsttimethehotplates
shouldbeheatedforashortperiodwithoutapa ntohardentheprotectivecoating.
Turntheheatsettingtohighforapprox3minutestofullyhardenthecoating.Whenthehotplateshavecooled
applyathincoatingofcookingoiltothehotplatetosea landprot ectthesurface.
Coated “easycare” solidhotplateshavearobust,corrosion resistantsurfacewhichistemperatureresistantupto
600 .
Cleanthehotplatesaftertheyhavecooledbywipingwithadampclothorsponge,useasmallamountof
detergentifnecessary.
Stubbo rnsoilingcanberemovedbysoakingthehotplateforafewminuteswithwarmwaterandalittle
detergent, followedbycleaningusingaplasticscourerorsoftbrush.
Anyspillsormarksthatstillremaincanbeburntoffbyoperatingthehotplateonhighwithoutapanfor2-3
minutes.Whenthehotplatehascooledcleanitnormallyasabove.
Aftercleaning,drythehotplatebywarmingonlowheatforapprox30secondsandthenoilthehotplatewitha
thincoatingofcookingoiltopreventrustorcorrosion.
Somediscolorationofthestainlesssteeltrimringisnormal duringuse. A stainlesssteelcleanermaybeusedtoclean
thetrimring.
Thereisariskofburnsifthehotplatesarehot.Ensurethehotplateshavecooledbeforecleaning.
Donotallowliquidstoenterthecontrolknobareawhilecleaning.
Allgradesandfinishesofstainlesssteelmaystain,discolourorbecomegre asyinnormaloperation. Toachieve
maximumsurfaceappearance,stainlesssteelmustbekeptcleanbyregularlyusingthefollowingcleaning
procedures,thusensuringgoodperformanceandlongservicelife.
Washwithwarmsoapydampcloth.Foranenhancedappearancewipethesurfacewit hacleandampclothor
sponge,beingsuretofollowthepolishor ‘brushing’ l ines. A st ainlesssteelcleanermayalsobeusedinaccordance
withthemanufacturer ’sinstructions.
Wherethestainlesssteelhasbecomeextremelydirtywithsignsofsurfacediscolouration, (duetoperiodsofneglect
ormis-use)useamildcleaningsolutioneg. ‘Jif’ or ‘Hillmark’ stainlesssteelcleaner.Whenremovingthesestainsbe
suretofollowthepolishor ‘brushing’ lines.
Ifafaultdevelopsinthecooktop,pleasecheckthepointslistedbelow.Itmaybe
possibletosave aservicecall,andthereforekeepingthecooktopinuse.

Thetopsurfaceofthehotplatesaresealedwithaheatresistantcoating.Beforeusingforthefirsttimethehotplates
shouldbeheatedforashortperiodwithoutapa ntohardentheprotectivecoating.
Turntheheatsettingtohighforapprox3minutestofullyhardenthecoating.Whenthehotplateshavecooled
applyathincoatingofcookingoiltothehotplatetosea landprot ectthesurface.
Coated “easycare” solidhotplateshavearobust,corrosion resistantsurfacewhichistemperatureresistantupto
600 .
Cleanthehotplatesaftertheyhavecooledbywipingwithadampclothorsponge,useasmallamountof
detergentifnecessary.
