erscrews.
• Removethemufflercover{cover
snapsoffmuffler body).
• Removemufflerdiffuserandspark Boot
arrestor screenassembly.Noticethe
orientationofthesepartsfor reassem-
bling.
• Cleanthesparkarrestorscreenwitha
wirebrush.Replacescreenifbreaks Plug
arefound.
• Replaceanybrokenorcrackedmuf-
flerparts.
• Reinstalldiffuserandsparkarrestor
screenassemblywithholesfacing up
andtowardsmufflercover.
• Reinstallmufflercoverand 2 screws
(7-8ft-lbs.).
REPLACE SPARK PLUG
Thesparkplugshouldbe reptaced
eachyeartoensuretheen._inestarts
easierandrunsbetter,lgnibontimingis
fixedand nonadjustable.
• Loosenthe3 screwsonthecylinder
cover.
: Removethecylindercover.
Pulloffthesparkplugboot.
• Removesparkplug from cylinderand
discard.
• ReplacewithChampionCJ7Yspark
plugandtightenwith a 3/4inchsocket
wrench(10-12ft-lbs).Sparkpluggap
shouldbe.025in.
: Reinstallthesparkplugboot.
Reinstallthecytindercoverand3
screws(15-20 ln-lbs).
