#1 What is “Power Boil”? This range seems barely to warm there, and slowly. Additionally, what are the bull’s eyes supposed to mean?
The rings of the burner refer to the size of that ring. The large element located in the front right of the cooktop has the following sizes 6", 9", 12". The left front element has 5", and 8" rings.
The large element located in the front to the right is the 3600W PowerBoil™ element. It provides up to 3,600 watts of power to speed the boiling process. This PowerBoil feature can be achieved when the element is set to the Hi setting. The higher wattage and higher heating cycle can boil water up to 25% faster in many cases.
#2 Is it ok to use quartz as a backsplash with this range having the vent in the back? The installation manual says do not place the range near anything that can't endure 200 degrees, but was wondering if a backguard is required for quartz backsplash.
This unit is made to be able to showcase a beautiful backsplash. However, we would not be able to determine the specifications of the quartz you are purchasing. Since there are many variations of quartz, we would recommend checking with your countertop distributor. They would be able to verify that the material being purchased could withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees.
#3 Do you need to run oven before cooking for first time
You do not need to run your oven before cooking with it. You can enjoy using it as soon as it is installed in your home.
#4 Can this range be freestanding? Is the white model also white on the sides?
Slide in ranges are color matched on the sides, the white of the front will continue onto the side panels as well. You are able to use this range as a freestanding model.
