Water Filter Cartridge
The water filter cartridge is located ill the back upper right
corner of the refl_igerator comi)artn/ent.
When to Replace the Filter on Models With a
Replacement Indicator Light
There is a rel_la('ement indicator light fi/r the water filter
cartridge on the dispensei: This light will ttlrn orange to tell
,ou that )ou need to replace the filter soon.
Tile filter cartridge should be replaced when the
replacenmnt indicator light turns red or if the flow of water
to the dispenser or icemaker decreases.
When to Replace the Filter on Models Without a
Replacement Indicator Light
The filter cartridge should be replaced exerv six months
or earlier if the flow of water to the water dispenser or
icemaker decreases.
Removingthe Filter Cartridge
If' you are replacing the cartridge, filet remove the old one
by slowly turning it to the left. Do not pull down on the
cartridge. A small }llllO/lllt Of water may dil I) down.
Installing the Filter Cartridge

refrigerator when )ou replace fimue cartridges.

appl) the month and )ear sticker to the new cartridge
to remind xou to replace the filter ill six months.
Fill the replacenmnt cartridge with water fl'om the tap
to allow fi_r better flow fron/the dispenser immediately
alter installation.

You nmst use the filter bypass [)lug when a rel)la(ement filter
cartridge is not a_ lilable. The disl)enser and the h'emaker
