5. Bend the line at the midpoint and
insert both ends of the line through
the holes in the center of the tap
button.

6. Pull ends of line and make sure
the line is against the tap button
and extended evenly through the
line exit holes on both sides of the
trimmer head.

7. Rewind line to desired length by
turning tap button in direction
shown on spool.
If cutting line retreats into trimmer
head during use:
1. Remove cover from trimmer head
by pressing tab and turning cover
clockwise (looking from bottom of
unit).

2. Remove spool and line from trimmer
head.
NOTE: Ensure spring remains in cen-
ter of trimmer head.
3. Unwind and remove all line from
spool. Reinstall spool in trimmer
head.
4. Align arrow on cover with arrow on
trimmer head. Reinstall cover by
turning counterclockwise.

5. Reinstall line into trimmer head by
repeating steps 4-7.
