Schweigen silent rangehoods are recognised for their silent operation. Although this holds true for all of our
rangehoods with external motors, one must note that the rangehoods are silent when they are used for
regular cooking on the lower fan setting. Therefore, you will only hear the movement of air.

5. Operation
Turn on/o the rangehood
Press - to decrease the fan speed
Turn on/o the lamp
Press + to increase the fan speed
Turn on/o red light. Press and hold
lamp button for 4 seconds.
Press to activate the 15 minutes shut down timer function, the display
will ash and motor will stop automatically after 15 minutes.
Speed Controls
This rangehood is equipped with a 5 speed electronic control.
The rangehood motor should be switched on before you commence cooking to ensure you achieve the best
extraction results.
Turn the rangehood motor o about 10-15 minutes after you nish cooking (use the shut down timer). This will
help clear the kitchen any remaining of odours and clear out the rangehood system.
Speed control usage suggestions:
• Low speed for simmering.
• Medium speed for light cooking.
• High speeds for heavy frying or heavy cooking.
Cleaning periods of metal lters — “C” display
The lters should be cleaned when “C” appears on the display. (On average this is every 40 hours or 4 to 5
weeks) or in accordance with the usage frequency. In order to remove “C”, after the lters are cleaned and
placed back into position, press
button for more than 3 seconds, when the product is at o position. The
Letter “E” will appear on display and the product will operate as normal.
If you would like to continue using the product without deleting “C”, when you press the
button active speed
will appear for 1 second, then “C” will appear once more and the motor will continue operating.
