BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Carefully unpack your slow cooker and clean it according to the
instructions outlined in the “CLEANING AND CARE” section of the
manual.
• It is necessary to operate the slow cooker once before placing food
in the stoneware liner. Place the unit on a heat resistant surface. Pour
4 cups of water into the stoneware liner and place it into the base
unit. Cover with the glass lid.
• Turn the set Heat to “High” position, and allow heating for
approximately 30 minutes. You may notice a slight odor; this is normal
and will quickly diminish.
• Turn the control to OFF and allow the unit to cool for 20 minutes.
• While wearing oven mitts, grab the stoneware liner by its handles to
carefully lift it and remove it from the base unit. Pour the water out
from the stoneware liner.
• Rinse the stoneware liner, dry it thoroughly, and replace into the base
unit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Place the ingredients to be slow cooked directly in the stoneware
liner.
Note: Do not fill the liner to the top with food.
• Put the lid on the stoneware liner.
• Place the slow cooker on a flat, level, and heat-resistant surface.
• Insert the plug in a grounded power socket, 120V, UL type.
• To begin cooking, select the temperature setting from the three
setting options.
• LOW is recommended for slow all day cooking. One hour on HIGH is
equivalent to approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours on LOW. The WARM
setting is only for keeping already cooked food at the perfect serving
temperature until you are ready to eat.
• NOTE: Do not cook on the WARM setting. It is not recommended to
use the WARM setting for more than 4 hours.
• When cooking is complete, turn the knob back to OFF.
