Troubleshooting Guide
Symptom Possible Cause Remedy
1
System will not turn on.
Missing or blown fuse at the
battery.
Insert or replace fuse.
Amp’s Remote Turn-On wire may
be disconnected.
Use a digital multimeter on the Blue/White
remote wire to ensure it gets +12V positive
when the audio system is on. If not trace the
wire and correct the connection.
Amp +12V constant wire not getting
voltage.
Test the Yellow +12V constant wire with
a digital multimeter to ensure it is getting
+12V at all times. Trace the wire to the fused
battery source.
2
Output is low.
Amplifier gain is not adjusted
properly.
Adjust the gain to where it should be
according to your specific system setup.
Signal input to the amp is not good.
Use a known good RCA input into the
amplifier to see if that works.
3
One of the speakers is not
working.
Disconnected pin or loose
connection.
Check all connections to the speaker, loose
pins, disconnected terminals etc.. Swap
around the speakers for the working one to
see if that works.
Amp channel not installed properly.
Swap the left and right RCAs to see if the
other side works. If so the installation of the
other amp channel needs to be gone over.
