2.10 If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash the area with soap
and water. If acid enters your eye, immediately ood the eye with cold running
water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention right away. Battery acid
can cause blindness and severe burns.
2.11 If battery acid is accidentally swallowed, drink milk, the whites of eggs or water.
DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
2.12 Clean the battery connector before charging the battery. During cleaning, keep
airborne corrosion from coming into contact with your eyes, nose and mouth. Use
baking soda and water to neutralize the battery acid and help eliminate airborne
corrosion. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
2.13 Remove the battery from the vehicle to charge it. Do not charge the battery on
a surface (such as a kitchen countertop) which could be damaged by the acid
contained inside the battery. Take precautions to protect the surface on which you
charge the battery.
2.14 Do not charge the battery upside down. The battery must be upright while charging.
2.15 The battery must be handled by adults only. The battery is heavy and contains
sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the battery could result in serious injury.
2.16 WARNING: This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of
California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
3. GETTING STARTED
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT BATTERY/
CONNECTOR COMBINATION. MATCH THE PICTURE
SHOWN WITH THE VEHICLE’S CONNECTOR AND CONFIRM YOU HAVE
THE CORRECT MODEL BATTERY. DO NOT MODIFY THE CONNECTOR
OR WIRING HARNESS ON THE BATTERY
OR VEHICLE OR IT COULD RESULT IN AN
ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE.
4. CHARGING THE NEW BATTERY
IMPORTANT: CHARGE THE BATTERY IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE,
AFTER EACH USE, AND EVERY 30 DAYS WHEN NOT BEING USED, TO KEEP
THE BATTERY FULLY CHARGED.
4.1 Before rst time use, charge the battery for at least 18 hours.
Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
4.2 Plug the correct connector into the battery.
4.3 Plug the charger into a standard 120 volt wall outlet.
