UPDATING THE MAP DATA AUTOMATICALLY
USING Wi-Fi®
1.
Follow “STEPS 1 to 3” in “UPDATING THE MAP DATA
MANUALLY USING Wi-Fi”. (→P.213)

Automatic Update
(Automatic Update).

Set “Update maps automatically (at most 8 maps can be
selected)”.
4.
Select the regions that you would like to be updated.
UPDATING THE MAP DATA MANUALLY USING A
SMARTPHONE
If the system cannot connect to a Wi-Fi® network, the map data
can be updated using a smartphone. Map update data can be
downloaded to a smartphone from outside of the vehicle, such
as at home, and then transferred to the system to perform the
map data update.
When updating the map data using a smartphone, the SUBARU
STARLINK application must be installed on the smartphone.
NOTE
l When using a cellular network to download map update data, only
regions with updates which are 30 MB or less can be downloaded.
To download updates using a cellular network, it is necessary to turn
the mobile data communication setting on the SUBARU STARLINK
application on.
