DECORATIVE TRIMMING
When trimming around trees, posts, fences, etc., rotate the whole
unit so that the cutting head is at a 30° angle to the ground (Fig. 15).
Fig. 15
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
• For most operations, cut from side to side.
• MODEL NO. CMXGTAMD25CC: To direct clippings away from
the operator, tilt the cutting head slightly down to the left; cut
from right to left whenever possible.
• MODEL NO. CMXGTAMD25SC: To direct clippings away from
the operator, tilt the cutting head slightly down to the right; cut
from left to right whenever possible.
• Cut tall grass (over 8 inches (20cm)) from the top down by
lowering the cutting head onto the grass.
• Cut with the tip of the trimming line.
• Cut in small increments. Move slowly. Do not force the unit.
• Do not trim wet grass or weeds.
NOTE: Some line breakage will occur from:
• Entanglement with foreign matter
• Normal line fatigue
• Attempting to cut thick vegetation
• Forcing the line into objects such as walls or fence posts
