If you wish to attach the TV to a desk, it must be securely fastened to the desk using a metal screw (as shown
below).
Failure to securely attach the TV may result in the TV falling: which may cause damage to the TV and serious
personal injury.

ATTACHING THE TV TO A WALL
This Feature is not available for all models.
Set it up close to the wall so the product doesn't fall over when it is pushed backwards.
The instructions shown below is a safer way to set up the product, which is to fix it on the wall so the
product doesn't fall over when it is pulled in the forward direction. It will prevent the product from
falling forward and hurting people. It will also prevent the product from damage caused by fall. Please
make sure that children don't climb on or hang from the product.

O se the eye-bolts or TV brackets/bolts to fix the product to the wall as shown in the picture.
(If your product has the bolts in the eye-bolts position before inserting the eye-bolts, loosen the bolts.)
* Insert the eye-bolts or TV brackets/bolts and tighten them securely in the upper holes.
O ecure the wall brackets with the bolts (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase separately) on
the wall. Match the height of the bracket that is mounted on the wall.

Use a sturdy rope (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase separately) to tie the
product. It is safer to tie the rope so it becomes horizontal between the wall and the product.

sible, have a qualified electrician install a separate circuit

VCR SETUP
To avoid picture noise (interference), leave an adequate distance between the VCR and TV.
If the 4:3 picture format is used; the fixed images on the sides of the screen may remain visible on the
screen. This phenomenon is common to all manufacturers and in consequence the manufacturer's warranty

Overview
When the RGB input, of the set is connected to a PC Output, Select
RGB-PC with using the INPUT button on the remote control.
When you change the resolution, select the proper resolution in
present input to see the best picture appearance.
Press the MENU button and then use A or button
to select the PICTURE menu.
Press the I_ button and then use A or button to
select Screen.

TURNING ON THE TV
If your TV will be turned on, you will be able to use its features.

Ensure the power cord is connected correctly.
When connected to power the TV switches to standby mode.
In standby mode, press the ©/u, INPUT(except
50/60PY3DF_), PR or button(except 50/60PY3DF*)
on the TV or press the POWER, INPUT, D/A INPUT, PR
+ or -, Number (0~9) button on the remote control.
Select the viewing source by using the INPUT button on
the remote control.
This TV is programmed to remember which mode it was
last set to, even if you turn the TV off.
When finished using the TV, press the POWER button on
the remote control. The TV reverts to standby mode.

If the OSD (On Screen Display) is displayed on the screen
as figure 1 after turning on the set, you can adjust the Auto
Programme tuning, Time Zone selection or Password set-

Selects the proper picture proportion to

Choose 4:3 when you want to view a picture
with an original 4:3 aspect ratio.
16:9
Adjust the picture horizontally, in a linear pro-
portion to fill the entire screen.
14:9
The screen size is, more enlarged at both
sides, to create a spectacular view.
You can move the 14:9 screen using A or
button. The adjustment range is -10 - -I-10.
Choose Zoom when you want to view the
picture without any alteration. However, the
top and bottom portions of the picture will be
cropped.
You can move the Zoom screen using A or
button. The adjustment range is -16 - +16.
1:1 Pixel
Choose 1:1 Pixel when you want to view the
picture of best quality without loss of original
picture in high resolution image.

Auto Colour Tone Control (Warm/Medium/Cool)
Choose one of three automatic colour adjustments. Set to
warm to enhance hotter colours such as red, or set to cool to
see less intense colours with more blue.
When selecting Picture Mode options (Dynamic, Standard and
Mild), Colour Temperature is automatically change.
When selecting Picture Mode options (User 1 and User 2), you
can choose the Colour Temperature.

SLEEPTIMER SETTING
You don't have to remember to switch the set off before you go
to sleep.
The sleep timer automatically switches the set to standby after
the preset time has elapsed.
O Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to select the number of minutes. First the
Offoption appears on the screen, followed by the following Sleep Time
options : 10, 20, 50, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 240 minutes.
When the number of minutes you want is displayed on the screen, press the
OK button. The timer begins to count down from the number of minutes
selected.
O To check the remaining minutes before the TV turns off, press the SLEEP
button once.
O To cancel the Sleep Time, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to select Off.

TELETEXT
* This feature is not available in all countries.
- Teletext is a free service broadcast by some TV stations which gives up-to-the-minute information on news, weath-
er, television programmes, share prices and many other topics.
- The teletext decoder of this TV can support the SIMPLE, TOP and FASTEXT systems. SIMPLE (standard teletext)
consists of a number of pages which are selected by directly entering the corresponding page number. TOP and
FASTEXT are more modern methods allowing quick and easy selection of teletext information.
Switch On/Off
Press the TEXT button to switch to teletext. The initial page or last page appears on the screen.
Two page numbers, TV station name, date and time are displayed on the screen headline. The first page num-
ber indicates your selection, while the second shows the current page displayed.

TROUBLESHOOTING
i Check to see if there is any object between the product and the remote control
causing obstruction. Ensure you are pointing the remote control directly at the TV.
i Ensure that the batteries are installed with correct polarity (+ to +, - to -).
Ensure that the correct remote operating mode is set: TV, VCR etc.
i Install new batteries.

PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL
The remote is a multi-brand or a universal remote. It can be programmed to operate most remote-control-
lable devices of other manufacturers.
Note that the remote may not control all models of other brands.
Programming a code into a remote mode

To find out whether your remote control can operate each device without programming, turn on the device
(such as a VCR) and press the corresponding mode button on the remote.
After that, press the POWER button. If the device is turned off and it responds properly the remote control
need not be programmed. If not, the remote should be programmed to operate the device. The program-
ming procedures are explained below.
O
Press the MENU and MUTE button continuously at the same time for two seconds; the currently selected
device button is illuminated.
If you don't press any button for 20 seconds, the light on the mode button will be turned off. In that case,
you have to repeat from step 2.
O Enter the appropriate code from the code table on the following pages. When pressing the button, the light
blinks at a time. If the device turned off, the programming is successful.
O Press the MENU button to store the code. After blinking twice, this code is stored.
O Test the remote control functions to see if the device responds properly. If not, steps 2-5.

3.4. Intellectual Property Matters

8. TERMINATION.
8.1. This License and the rights granted hereunder will terminate automatically if You fail to comply with terms here-
in and fail to cure such breach within 30 days of becoming aware of the breach. All sublicenses to the Covered
Code which are properly granted shall survive any termination of this License. Provisions which, by their nature,
must remain in effect beyond the termination of this License shall survive.
8.2. If You initiate litigation by asserting a patent infringement claim (excluding declatory judgment actions) against
Initial Developer or a Contributor (the Initial Developer or Contributor against whom You file such action is referred
to as "Participant") alleging that:
(a) such Participant's Contributor Version directly or indirectly infringes any patent, then any and all rights granted
by such Participant to You under Sections 2.1 and/or 2.2 of this License shall, upon 60 days notice from Participant
terminate prospectively, unless if within 60 days after receipt of notice You either: (i) agree in writing to pay
Participant a mutually agreeable reasonable royalty for Your past and future use of Modifications made by such
Participant, or (ii) withdraw Your litigation claim with respect to the Contributor Version against such Participant. If
within 60 days of notice, a reasonable royalty and payment arrangement are not mutually agreed upon in writing by
the parties or the litigation claim is not withdrawn, the rights granted by Participant to You under Sections 2.1 and/or
2.2 automatically terminate at the expiration of the 60 day notice period specified above.
(b) any software, hardware, or device, other than such Participant's Contributor Version, directly or indirectly
infringes any patent, then any rights granted to You by such Participant under Sections 2.1(b) and 2.2(b) are
revoked effective as of the date You first made, used, sold, distributed, or had made, Modifications made by that
Participant.
8.3. If You assert a patent infringement claim against Participant alleging that such Participant's Contributor Version
directly or indirectly infringes any patent where such claim is resolved (such as by license or settlement) prior to the
initiation of patent infringement litigation, then the reasonable value of the licenses granted by such Participant
under Sections 2.1 or 2.2 shall be taken into account in determining the amount or value of any payment or license.
8.4. In the event of termination under Sections 8.1 or 8.2 above, all end user license agreements (excluding distrib-
utors and resellers) which have been validly granted by You or any distributor hereunder prior to termination shall
survive termination.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER TORT (INCLUDING NEGLI-
GENCE), CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL YOU, THE INITIAL DEVELOPER, ANY OTHER CONTRIBUTOR, OR
ANY DISTRIBUTOR OF COVERED CODE,OR ANY SUPPLIER OF ANY OF SUCH PARTIES, BE LIABLE TO ANY
PERSON FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY CHARACTER
INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER
FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, EVEN IF SUCH
PARTY SHALL HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILI-
TY SHALL NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY RESULTING FROM SUCH PARTY'S
NEGLIGENCE TO THE EXTENT APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS SUCH LIMITATION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO
NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THIS
EXCLUSION AND LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. U.S. GOVERNMENT END USERS•
The Covered Code is a "commercial item," as that term is defined in 48 C.RR. 2•101 (Oct. 1995), consisting of
"commercial computer software" and "commercial computer software documentation," as such terms are used in 48
C.RR. 12•212 (Sept• 1995)• Consistent with 48 C.RR. 12•212 and 48 C.RR. 227•7202-1 through 227•7202-4 (June
1995), all U.S. Government End Users acquire Covered Code with only those rights set forth herein•
11. MISCELLANEOUS•
This License represents the complete agreement concerning subject matter hereof• If any provision of this License
is held to be unenforceable, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable• This
License shall be governed by California law provisions (except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise),
excluding its conflict-of-law provisions• With respect to disputes in which at least one party is a citizen of, or an entity
chartered or registered to do business in the United States of America, any litigation relating to this License shall be
subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts of the Northern District of California, with venue lying in Santa Clara
County, California, with the losing party responsible for costs, including without limitation, court costs and reasonable
attorneys' fees and expenses• The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale
of Goods is expressly excluded• Any law or regulation which provides that the language of a contract shall be construed

12. RESPONSIBILITY FOR CLAIMS•
As between Initial Developer and the Contributors, each party is responsible for claims and damages arising, direct-
ly or indirectly, out of its utilization of rights under this License and You agree to work with Initial Developer and
Contributors to distribute such responsibility on an equitable basis• Nothing herein is intended or shall be deemed to
constitute any admission of liability•
13. MULTIPLE-LICENSED CODE.
Initial Developer may designate portions of the Covered Code as "Multiple-Licensed". "Multiple-Licensed" means
that the Initial Developer permits you to utilize portions of the Covered Code under Your choice of the NPL or the alter-
native licenses, if any, specified by the Initial Developer in the file described in Exhibit A.
