Caution
This appliance is for household use. Any servicing other than cleaning and user
maintenance should be performed by the nearest authorized KRUPS Service Center only.
Do not immerse base in water.
To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not open the base of the appliance.
Internal parts cannot be serviced by the end user. Repair should be done by an
authorized KRUPS Service Center only.
Special cord set instructions
Regarding your Cord Set:
A. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
B. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
C. If an extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord
should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and (2) if the
appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be grounding-type
3-wire cord, and (3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Make sure the appliance is plugged in correctly. Any incorrect connection will
void the guarantee.
Do not leave the power cord hanging o the countertop or table. Keep children out
of reach of the appliance.
Place the appliance on a at, heat resistant surface.
Never obstruct the steam outlet (A) on the lid with any object such as a towel, dish, plate,
etc. or with your hand. Steam is released from this outlet and you can burn yourself.
Never immerse the base of this unit in water.
Use care when cleaning the measuring cup (G) with its sharp egg pricker (H).
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Unbox the machine and remove packaging and any other items that are not part of
the product (labels, ties, etc.). (g. 1)
Wash the lid (B), egg holder (C), measuring cup (G), omelet tray (J), egg sandwich
tray (K), and poached egg tray (L) with warm water and some dishwashing soap,
rinse and dry thoroughly. (g. 2)
Note: These parts are also dishwasher safe.
Wipe the heating plate (D) of the egg cooker main unit with a damp sponge or cloth
and dry immediately. (g. 3)
USE
Cooking eggs
The appliance comes with an egg holder (C), 3 trays (J, K, L) and a measuring cup (G).
The measuring cup has markings on two sides, which allows you to cook eggs in four
dierent ways:
boiled eggs (soft / medium / hard)
poached eggs
egg sandwich
omelet.

Note: The above chart is the amount of water suggested depending on how many eggs
are cooked at a time. The more eggs cooked at the same time, the less water is needed.
Note: Do not immerse base of egg cooker in water or other liquids. The body of the
egg cooker is NOT dishwasher safe.
Unwind the power cord from underneath the main unit.
Place the machine on a solid, at surface. Plug to a socket. (g. 4)
Turn measuring cup (G) to side with boiled egg markings.
Note: The markings shown are for preparing 6 eggs. For fewer than 6 eggs,
please refer to table above for water volumes.
Once you determine how you would like your eggs cooked, ll the cup with cold
water to the corresponding mark - soft
, medium , or hard . (g. 5)
Pour the water in the heating plate (D). (g. 6)
To prevent eggs from cracking when cooking, prick each egg on its wider base with
the egg pricker (H). (g. 7)
Place the egg holder (C) on the heating plate (D), then place eggs on the egg holder
(C) hole-side up, and cover with the lid (B). (g. 8)
Turn the control switch (E) “ON”. The indicator light will turn on. (g. 9)
Your egg cooker will alert you when eggs are done. Turn the control switch (E)
“OFF” and the indicator light turns o. (g. 10 and 11)
Note: Even after the alert has stopped, the indicator light will remain “ON”. Switch
your egg cooker “OFF” as soon as possible to prevent eggs from overcooking.
Remove the lid (B) by its handles carefully, taking care not to scald yourself as the
egg cooker will be very hot. (g. 12)
Carefully remove eggs from egg cooker using a pair of heat-resistant tongs.
