Health and Safety executive guidance regulations recommend a flexible isolating hose to be used between the air tool
and coupling, thus isolating the tool’s vibration; this is called a “whip” hose. The international standard (ISO 6150)
recommends a minimum of 300mm of flexible hose to be used between a vibrating tool and quick-action coupling.
