BAGELS

• Leavethebrowningcontrolatyourpreferredsetting.

• Warmthetoasteruppriortotoastingthebagel.Lowerthebreadcarriageandleavefor

15 seconds. Press the eject button.

• Placethebagelintotheslot;insertthebagelwiththeinsidesectionofthebagelfacingthe

outerelement.Lowerthebreadcarriagelever,thenpressthe button.

• The light will come on, and the toasting time and elements will be altered automatically

tobrownandheatthebageltoyourdesiredleveloftoasting.

REHEATING TOAST

Note: You must only reheat plain, “unbuttered” toast.

• Setthebrowningcontroltothelowestsetting.

HINTS AND TIPS

• Whentoastingmorethanonesliceofbread,useslicesofsimilarsize,thicknessand

freshness.

• Oldorthinbreadwillcookfasterthanfreshorthickbread,sousealowersetting.

• Donotusetorn,curledup,ormisshapenslicesofbread,asthesemayjamtheejection

mechanismandcouldcatchre.

• Sweetbreadproducts(fruitloaf,etc.)brownmuchquickerthanordinarybread,soshould

be toasted on a lighter setting.

• Shouldthebreadcarriagebecomejammedduringthetoastingcycle,donotattemptto

releaseit.Unplugthetoasterandallowittocooldownbeforecarefullyremovingthebread.

• Donotuseaknife,forkorsimilarsharpinstrumentasthesemaydamagetheelementsand

present a danger of electric shock.

CRUMBS

Crumbswillcollectinthebaseofthetoaster.Lettingthembuildupcancauseafirehazardso

itisimportanttoremovethemfrequently.

• Switchothepowerandremovetheplugfromthewallpoweroutlet.

• Pulloutthecrumbtraysandemptyoutthecrumbs.

• Wipethetrayscleanwithadampcloth.

• Drythoroughlybeforeslidingbackintothebaseofthetoaster.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Switchthepoweroandremovetheplugfromthewallpoweroutlet.

• Letthetoastercooldownfullybeforeattemptinganycleaningoperationorstoringaway.

• Wipetheoutersurfaceswithasoftdampcloth.Ifnecessary,usealittledishwashing

• Donotimmersethetoasterinwateroranyotherliquid.
