dependingonfreezercompartmenttemperature,
roomtemperature,numberof dooropeningsand
otheruseconditions.
Seebelowfor howto accessiceand reachthe
powerswitch.
Ifthe refrigeratoris operatedbeforethe water
connectionismadeto the icemaker,setthe power
switchinthe 0 (off)position.
Whenthe refrigeratorhasbeenconnectedto the
watersupplg,setthepowerswitchto theI (on)
position.Theicemakerpowerlightwillturngreen
whenthefreezerlightswitchispressedin or when
thefreezerdoorisclosed.
Theicemakerwillfillwithwaterwhenit coolsto
15°F(-IO°C).AnewlginstalledrefrigeratormaUtake
12to 24hoursto beginmakingicecubes.
Youwill heara buzzingsoundeachtime
the icemakerfillswith water.
Throwawagthe firstfew batchesof iceto allow
the waterlineto clear.
Besurenothinginterfereswiththe sweep
ofthe feelerarm.
Whenthe binfills to the levelof thefeelerarm,the
icemakerwillstopproducingice.It isnormalfor
severalcubesto bejoinedtogether.
Ificeis not usedfrequentlU,oldicecubeswill
becomecloudU,tastestaleandshrink.
NOTE:In homeswithtower-than-averagewater
pressure,btoumablheartheicemakercb/ctemultiple
timeswhenmakingone botchof ice.
NOTE:Setthepowerswitchto the 0 (off)positionif
thewatersupptbtisshutoff.

To reach the icemaker power switch, pullthe
shelfabove the ice binstraight out. AIwagsbe
sure to replace the shelf.
Toaccess ice, simplg pullthe bin forward.

To Use the External Dispenser (onsomemodels)
Pressthe glassgentlUagainstthetop of the
dispensercradle.
Thespillshelfisnotself-draining.Toreducewater
spotting,theshelfshouldbecleanedregularlg.
Ifno water isdispensedwhentherefrigeratoris
firstinstalled,theremobtbeair in the waterline
%/stem.Pressthedispenserarmfor at leasttwo
minutesto removetrappedair from thewaterline
andto fillthe watersbtstem.Toflushout impurities
inthewater line,throwowobtthefirstsix glassfuls
ofwater.
Locking the Dispenser
Pressthe LOCKpadfor 3secondsto lock
the dispenserand controlpanel.Tounlock,press
andholdthe pad againfor 3 seconds.
Door Alarm
Tosetthealarm,pressthe DOORALARMpad.The
indicatorlightwillilluminate.Thisalarmwillsoundif
eitherdoorisopenformorethan2minutes.The
beepingstopswhenUouclosethedoor.
To Use the Internal Dispenser (onsomemodels)
Thewaterdispenserislocatedon the leftwallinside
the refrigeratorcompartment.
Todispensewater:
0 Holdthe glassagainstthe recess.
0 Pushthe waterdispenserbutton.
Holdthe glassunderneaththe dispenserfor
2-3secondsafter releasingthe dispenser
button.Watermagcontinueto dispenseafter
the buttonisreleased.
Ifno water isdispensedwhen the refrigeratoris first
installed,therema_lbe airinthe waterlinesystem.
Pressthedispenserbuttonforatleast2 minutesto
removetrappedairfromthewaterlineandto fillthe
watersystem.Duringthisprocess,thedispensernoise
moblbeloudastheairispurgedfromthewaterline
system.Toflushoutimpuritiesinthewaterline,throw
awabtthefirst6 glassfulsof water.
NOTE:Toavoidwaterdeposits,thedispenser
shouldbecleanedperiodicottbtbbtwipingwith 11
ocleanclothorsponge.
