Unpacking Your freezer
1. Remove all packaging material. This includes the foam base and all adhesive
tape holding the freezer accessories inside and outside. Slide out and
remove the plastic or foam guard used to protect the compressor from shipping
damage due to vibration and shock.
2. Inspect and remove any remaining packaging, tape or printed materials
before powering on the freezer.
3. Check to be sure you have all accessories and parts listed in the Parts and
Features section.
Proper Air Circulation
To ensure that your freezer, works at the maximum efficiency it was
designed for, you should install it in a location where there is proper air
circulation, plumbing and electrical connections.
The following are recommended clearances around the freezer:
I 5ides ...................3/4 inches (19mm) I
Top......................2 inches (50mm)
Back ....................2 inches (50mm)
Electrical Requirements
Make sure there is a suitable power outlet (115 volts, 15amps) with
proper grounding to power the freezer.
WARNING: Avoid the use of three prong adapters. NEVER cut off the third
grounding prong in order to accommodate a two prong outlet. Cutting off the
grounding prong is a dangerous practice since it provides no effective grounding
for the refrigerator and may result in serious injury from electrical shock.
Installation
Your freezer is designed for freestanding installation on14 It should not be
recessed or built-in. Place the freezer on a floor strong enough to support it fully
loaded. When moving the freezer, never tilt it by more than a 45 degrees angle. This
could damage the compressor and the sealed system.
tf the freezer has been tilted more than 45 degrees, let it stand in an upright
position for at least 24 hours prior to plugging it into the power source. This
will allow the refrigerant to settle and reduce the possibility of a malfunction in
the cooling system.
Plug the freezer into an exclusive, properly installed grounded wall outlet. Do not
plug another appliance into the same outlet as the freezer.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (grounding) prong from
the power cord. See the WARNING in Electrical Requirements on the previous
page. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed
toward a certified electrician or a Sears or other qualified service dealer
After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit to cool down for
24 hours before placing food into the freezer.
Installation Limitations
Do not install your freezer in any location not properly insulated or
heated, such as a garage, etc. Your freezer was not designed to operate in temperature
settings below 55° Fahrenheit. Select a suitable location for the freezer on a hard
even surface away from direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, baseboard heaters,
cooking appliances, etc.
Leveling Legs
There are two leveling legs on the bottom of the unit near the unit front. Turn the leveling knobs
to the left to raise the cabinet, and to the right to lower the cabinet.
Rollers
The freezer is equipped with two rollers at the back for ease of moving the unit across the floor.

to perform the door reversal process.
1.Removethe two screwssecuring the cabinet top plate to the back of cabinet.
2. Removethe six screws securingthe door overhang plate to cabinet top plate at front of cabinet.
3. Raisethe cabinet top piate and rest on roof of cabinet to reveal top door hinge bracket.
4. Removethe two screws securingtop door hinge bracket to cabinet. Removebracket. Replace
outer screw in cabinet.
NOTE: Be careful to retain all washers and gaskets in position when removing and replacing hinges.
5. Open and remove door from lower hinge bracket post.Set door aside.
6. With fiat blade tool carefully remove hole plug on opposite side of cabinet and transfer to hole
remainingfrom top hinge bracket removal.
7. Removefour screws securing lower hinge bracket to base of cabinet. Removebracket.
8. Removelevelling foot and corner screw from cabinet base and transfer to corresponding holes
on opposite side.
9. Removelevelling foot knob from lower hinge bracket. Use a 12mm wrench to remove and reverse
hole position of bracket post. Usefiat blade screwdriver to remove and reversehole position of
bracket door lift screw.
10.Usefour previously removed screws to attach lower hinge bracket to cabinet base.Mount
door on bracket post.
11.Removeplastic cap from top hinge bracket post.Use fiat blade screwdriver to remove and
reverse hole position of bracket post. Replace cap.
12.Removescrew from top corner of cabinet. Inserthinge post into door hole. Use two
previously removed screwsto attach top hinge bracket to cabinet.
13.Usesix previously removed screws to attach door overhang plate to cabinet top plate.
On hinge side of overhang plate, insert screws through plate and hinge bracket so that hinge
is not exposed.
14.Usetwo previously removed screws to attach back of cabinet top plate to cabinet.
CAUTION: If the freezer hasbeen placed in a horizontal or tilted position for ease of door
reversal,wait 24 hours before plugging it in. Plugging insooner may result in permanent damage
to cooling system.
Initial Use
To reach the set coldness level when operating the freezer for the first time, run it without food
load until you hear the compressor stop. This usually takes 24 hours.Once the set temperature is
reached, load food into the freezer.
Note: If the freezer has been placed in a horizontal or
tilted position for any period of time,wait 24 hoursbefore plugging it in.
Temperature Control
The first time you turn the unit on,adjust the temperature control knob
to Recommended settingand give your freezer time to cool down
completely before adding food; a fuji 24 hoursis recommended. After
it isfully cooled, test it and adjust towards COLD to make lesscool
or towards COLDESTto cool more to best suit your needs. _.(_.......,_,j

Note: Turningthe temperature control knob to the OFFposition will stop the
cooling cycle but does not shutoff power to the unit.
Defrosting Your Freezer
For maximum energy efficiency, defrost the freezer whenever frost accumulates to a thickness
of 1/8" or more on freezer walls. Note that frost tends to accumulate more during the summer months.
To defrost freezer, open the freezer door. Remove ali food and unplug the freezer.
Defrosting may take several hours, so store food in another freezer
in the meantime. To speed up defrost time, keep the door open and place a bowI of warm water in the
freezer.
After defrosting, empty and wipe down the interior of the freezer.
Restartthe freezer by plugging it in and turning the temperature control to the desired setting.
CAUTION: Do not useboiling water to melt frost accumulation on freezer walls, as it may damage
plastic parts.
WARNING: DO NOT use a sharp or metallic instrumentto remove frost from the refrigerator interior,
as damage to refrigerant tubing may occur. Tubing damage may allow flammable refrigerant gas
leakage, which can result in personal injury.
Normal Operating Sounds You May Hear
Boiling water, gurgling soundsor slight vibrations that are the resultof the
refrigerant circulating through the cooling coils
The thermostatcontrol will click whenit cycles on and off.

El Cambio del Sentido de da Apertura de La Puerta
Advertencia: Desenchufe el refrigerador antes de realizar el procedimiento del cambio del sentido
de la apertura de la puerta. Fallo de desenchufe puede resultar en daBos graves o electrocuci6n.
Precauci6m consiga la ayuda de otra persona en realizar el procedimiento de cambiar el sentido
de la puerta para evitar lesionespersonales y daBosposibles.
1.Retirelos dos tornillos que sujetan la cubierta superior del gabinete con la espalda del gabinete.
2. Retirelos seistornillos que sujetanla cubierta pendiente de la puerta con la cubierta superior
del gabinete en la delantera del gabinete.
3. Levantela cubierta superior del gabinete y la ponga en el techo del gabinete para que el soporte
de bisagra superior de la puerta se exponga.
4. Retire lasdos tornillos que sujetan el soporte de bisagra superior con el gabinete y quite el soporte.

y retire el soporte.
8. Retirela pata de nivelaci6n y el tornillo de rinc6n desde la base de gabinete y la sujeta al agujero
correspondiente del lado opuesto.
9. Retireel pomo de la pata de nivelaci6n desde el soporte de bisagra inferior. Utilice el tornillador
para quitar la posici6n del agujero del pivote de soporte y cambiarla al lado opuesto. Utilice
destornillador de cabeza plana para retirar la posici6n de agujero de tornillo para elevar el
soporte de la puerta y cambiarla al lado opuesto
10.Utilice cuatros tornillos que se quitaron antes para sujetar el soporte de bisagra suferior a la base
del gabinete. Montar la puerta sobre el pivote de soporte.
11.Retirela capa plRstica sobre el pivote de soporte de bisagra superior. Utilice destornillador de
cabeza plana para retirar la posici6n del agujero del pivote de soporte y cambiarla al lado
opuesto. Recoloque la tapa en la posici6n del lado opuesto.
12.Retiretornillo desde la esquina superior del gabinete, lnserteel pivote de bisagra en el agujero
de la puerta. Utilice dos tornillsos retirados antes para sujetar el soporte de bisagra superior con el
gabinete.
13.Utilice seistornillos retirados antes para sujetar la cubierta pendiente de la puerta con la cubierta
superior del gabinete, lnserte tornillos en la cubierta pediente y el soporte de bisagra
para que la bisagra no se exponga.
14.Utilice dos tornillos retirados antes para sujetar la cubierta superior de la espalda del gabinete
con el gabinete.
