INSTALLATION
Connect the ducting
NOTES:
• If an aluminum duct is used, smooth the connection area beforehand.
• For HUI34253UC, HUI30253UC or HUI36253UC model: Exhaust air duct dia. 6” (150 mm).
• For HUI80553UC or HUI86553UC model: Exhaust air duct dia. 8’’ (205 mm).
Establishing the connection for the
recirculated air
1. Attach the exhaust air duct directly to the air duct
connector.
2. Establish the connection to the opening on the cabinet
unit.
3. Screw the air guide grill (not included) to the cabinet. Fit
the air guide grill so that the air can fl ow out freely.
4. Seal the joints with metal foil duct tape.
5. Install the charcoal fi lters.
WARNING
Improper installation of gas appliances and ventilation
hoods can create a risk for carbon monoxide which can be
harmful. To reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning,
ensure the gas appliance is properly installed according to
the manufacturer’s instructions, as well as ensuring the hood
is vented to the outside for proper exhausting of gases or
fumes.
Refer to local building codes for latest requirements and
restrictions when installing ventilation products in recirculation
mode.
Establishing the connection for the exhaust air
1. Attach the exhaust air duct directly to the air duct
connector. Attach the other end of the duct to the ductwork
above.
2. Seal the joints with metal foil duct tape.
