Thank you for this product question, this model is not designed to have the worktop lid removed as like any brand of freestanding dishwasher the lid is there for a purpose to protect wiring from water leaking onto exposed wires and also from insects getting inside, when you remove this lid you expose everything to the elements, if you need a machine to fit under your benchtop due to the lack of height then the built under dishwasher is the correct model for you.

Thank you for this product question, these arms are Robust Plastic, not stainless Steel most brands today don't require these to be Stainless Steel like years gone by with the improvement with heat resistant plastics manufacturers are able to design better efficient spray arms.
