Frigidaire FFBD2411NS4A Questions and Answers

#1 What is the best way to load the silverware basket?

Since the features and appearances of silverware baskets may vary by model, please reference your Owner’s Manual.

However, here are some overall helpful tips:

Load the silverware basket while it is in the bottom rack or take the basket out for easy loading on a counter or table.

For silverware baskets with lids, small items like baby bottle caps, jar lids, etc. can be placed in a covered section to hold them securely in place.

Be sure nothing protrudes through bottom of silverware basket or rack that may block the spray arm.

We recommend you do not mix silver and stainless to avoid damaging the silver finish. When you are not using the lids to your silverware basket, mix items in each section of the basket with some items pointing up and some down to avoid nesting.

The water spray cannot reach nested items.

#2 What should I do when I need to add a forgotten item to a wash cycle that is in process?

To add or remove items after a wash cycle starts, simply unlatch the door and wait a few seconds until wash action stops before fully opening. You can add or remove the item and then press Start. Close the door firmly to latch and resume cycle.

#3 How do I set the child lock feature?

To prevent children from accidentally changing the dishwasher settings or starting the dishwasher, you can lock the controls.

For Plastic Tub Dishwashers -

Press and hold DELAY START for 3 seconds. An indicator light on the lock graphic pad will illuminate when the controls are locked and no new selections can be made until the lock is released.

To unlock the controls, press DELAY START again for 3 seconds, and the indicator light will go out.

For Stainless Steel Dishwashers -

Press DELAY START until the display window displays "loc".

To unlock the controls, press DELAY START until "loc" is no longer displayed in the displaystatus window.

#4 How can I ensure the best drying results?

To ensure the best drying results, we recommend using a rinse aid (such as Cascade® Rinse Aids*), which helps with drying and cleaning performance.

These products help eliminate spots and residue. You can also try changing the setting on your dishwasher. You can do this at any time during the cycle.

Depending on your model, you can choose from the below settings:

The Heat Dry option, in combination with a rinse aid (such as Cascade® Rinse Aids), uses heat to enhance the drying performance, costing only pennies per cycle in extra energy.

Please note that it is normal for plastic products and items with concave surfaces to retain small amounts of water.

The Sahara Dry® cycle adds a forced air system to the Heat Dry option. It’s available on select models, and offers the most advanced drying action in the dishwasher industry. When used with a rinse aid, it offers our best drying performance.

The PowerPlus™ Dry cycle adds a forced air system to the Heat Dry option. Available on select models and works best when used with a rinse aid. The Air Dry option relies on air rather than heat, and may sometimes leave some dishes not completely dry at the end of the cycle.

If you choose this cycle, you may see water vapor coming from the vent as it runs. This is normal – it’s simply the result of moisture wicking away from your dishes.
