Troubleshooting of Minor Faults
TO AVOID RISK OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK!
Repairs should only be carried out
by an authorized technician.
If repairs are necessary, and you
cannot eliminate the fault yourself with
the aid of the following table:
Turn the program selector to Off.
Disconnect the washing machine
from the power outlet.
Turn off the water taps.
Fault
Thedoorcannotbe
opened.
Doorcannotbe opened,
eventhoughthe appliance
has beenswitchedoff and
on again.
Controllightsdo not light
up,
Programdoesnotstart.
Start/Pauseindicatorlight
flashes.
Programdoesnotstart.
Indicatorlight "end" is lit
anddisplayis flashing
"E:01"
Spinspeedcannotbe
selected.
Detergentresidueinthe
detergentdispenser.
Water does not enter the
machine or detergent is
not washed away.
Indicator light "spin" is tit
and display is flashing
"E:02" or "E:03".
Watercannotbeseenin
drum.
Indicator light "rinse" is lit
and display is flashing
"E:04" with no water re-
maining intub.
Call Customer Service
(refer to Page 25).
Possible cause Action
Powerfailure,
Programis runningand/orthe dooris lockedfor safety
reasons.
Plugis looseor notinserted.
Programselectorturnedto Off beforeend of program.
Forsafetyreasonsthe doorhas beenlockedbecausethe
waterlevel,temperatureor speedis too high.
A fuse hasblown.
Powerfailure.
Start/Pausebuttonnot pressed.
Doornotclosedproperly.
Spinningis alreadyin progress;during spincyclethe
speedcannotbe changed.
Detergentwas dampor lumpy.
Watertap(s) not turned on.
An interruptedprogramwill beresumedwhenpoweris
restored.If the laundryis to be removedduringa power
failure,call CustomerService
(referto Page25).
Waituntilthe programends;see Page21.
Eliminatethe cause.
Selecta program.
See"Adda garment/Interruptingthe program",Page20.
Resetcircuitbreaker.
CallCustomerServiceif this fault recurs.
An interruptedprogramwill beresumedwhenpoweris
restored.If the laundryis to be removedduringa power
failure,call CustomerService
(referto Page25).
Pressthe Start/Pausebutton.
Checkwhetherlaundryis trappedin door.
Closethe door(aclick shouldbe heard).
Programcontinues.
Selectspeedbeforespinning.
Supply hose kinked or pinched.
Strainersin supply hoseclogged.
Water pressure too low.
This is not a fault.
The water level is below the visible part of the drum.
Suds or pump is blocked.
Clean and dry the detergent dispenser; see Page21.
Usethe cap of the detergent bottle to measure liquid
detergents.
Turn on water tap(s) and press Start/Pause button.
Program continues.
Eliminatethe cause,
Cleanthe water inlet strainers; see Page21.
Eliminatethe cause.
Use less detergent for future wash loads. Detergents
specifically designedfor your High Efficiency washer
produce fewer suds and will include the letters "HE"
on the packaging. Clean the water drainage pipe
and/or drain hose. Run any program to removethe
excess suds.
