NOTES
HELPFUL TIPS
• Large and/or tough cuts of meat typically benefit from slow cooking on Low—
the longer, more gentle cooking process allows meat to become more tender.
• The cooking pot may be transferred to the oven after slow cooking to reduces
excess cooking liquid.
• ONLY the cooking pot is oven safe up to 500°F. The lid and slow cooker
housing are NOT oven safe.
• Slow cooked dishes may also be thickened by using a slotted spoon to remove
ingredients, then stirring in a small ball of softened butter and flour. (Use a 1:1
ratio of softened butter and flour to form ball.)
• Only use the Warm setting to keep food warm after it has already been cooked.
