AUTOHATIC ICE WATER DISPENSER
Priming the water supply system
_lb CAUTION
For proper dispenser operabon, recommended
water supply pressure should fall between
30 psi and 100 psi. Excesswe pressure may
cause water filter to malfunction.
Begin filling the tank by pressing and holding
a drinking glass against the water d_spenser
paddle.
Keep the glass

may take about
11/2m_nutes.

water for about
four m_nutes to
flush the system and plumbing connecbons
of any impurities (stopping to empty the
glass as necessary).
NOTE
The water dispenser has a built-in device that
shuts off the water flow after three m_nutes
of conbnuous use. To reset this shutoff
device, simply release the dispenser paddle.
Dispensed water is chilled. For colder water, add
_ceto cup or container before d_spens_ngwater.
Ice maker operation & care
After the refrigerator is insta!led properly and
has cooled for several hours, the ice maker can
produce ice wlth_n 24 hours. The _ce maker wll!
fil! the ice bin from the rear. You must dispense
some _ceto force the _ceforward _nthe bin. This
wdl allow the bin to fill completely.
IMPORTANT
'four _cemaker _sturned on at the factory so _t
can work as soon as you install your refrigerator.
If you cannot connect a water supply, set the
_cemaker's On!Off _conto Off and turn off the
water supply valve; otherwise, the _cemaker's fill
valve may make a loud chattenng noise when it
attempts to operate without water.
Turning the fresh food ice maker
on and off
Ice producbon is controlled by the ice maker's
On/Off icon on the control panel. Press and
hold the "Ice Off" icon for three seconds to
turn the ice maker "ON" or "OFF". The ice
maker is turned off when the LED above the
"Ice Off" ucon _sdlumnated.
IMPORTANT
Turning offthe ice maker will disable the ice
dispenser. You wdl sbll be able to dispense water.
NOTE
The ice maker also has a bu!lt-ln plasbc
signal bale arm that automatically stops
_ceproducbon when the _ce b_n _sfull. This
s_gna! arm should not be used to manually
stop the _ce maker.
Using the ice maker after
instalJation
Before making _cefor the first bme, be sure
to prime the water supply system. A_r _nnew
plumbing hnes can result _n two or three empty
_cemaker cycles. Furthermore, _f the system
_snot flushed, the first _cecubes may be
d_scolored or have an odd flavor.
IMPORTANT
On occasion, unusually small _cecubes may
be nobced _nthe bucket or _nd_spensed_ce.
Th_scould occur _nnormal operabon of the
_cemaker. If you start seeing these more
frequently, _tmay be an _nd_cabonof low
water pressure or the water filter needs to be
replaced. As the water filter nears the end of _ts
useful hfe and becomes clogged w_th particles,
less water _sdehvered to the _cemaker dunng
each cycle. Remember, _f_t'sbeen s_xmonths
or longer s_nceyou last changed your water
filter, replace the water filter w_th a new one.
Poor quahty household water may require the
filter to be changed more frequently.
