Using Your SteamCraft Steam Iron
BUILT-IN ANTI-SCALE SYSTEM
The built-in Anti-Scale System is designed to reduce the build-up of lime scale which
occurs during steam ironing. This will prolong the working life of your iron.
NOTE: The anti-scale cartridge will not completely stop the natural process of lime scale
build-up.
SELF-CLEANING
The Self-Cleaning function removes the scales and minerals built up in the Steam
Chamber. The iron will remain in optimal condition if this function is performed at least
once a month (or more often), depending on the hardness of water used.
1. Unplug the Power Cord from electrical outlet.
2. Move the Steam Selector to “Self Clean” position.
3. Fill the Water Tank as described in this manual.
4. Plug in the Power Cord to electrical outlet.
AUTO SHUT-OFF FUNCTION
The Auto Shut-Off function operates automatically when the iron is left untouched for 30
seconds (horizontal position) or 30 minutes (vertical position).
To reactivate the iron, simply move it or turn the Temperature Control Dial to the right. The
LED will return to the temperature setting it was on when Auto Shut-Off engaged
and the
iron will begin heating up. It may take up to 60 seconds for the iron to be ready for use.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS disconnect your iron from the electrical outlet after use. NEVER
leave the iron unattended with Auto Shut- Off in operation.
DRAIN THE WATER TANK
1. Switch off the Iron.
2. Unplug Power Cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Open the Water Tank Door and drain the Water Tank.
4. Gently shake iron to remove any remaining water from the Tank.
5. Close the Water Tank Door.
ANTI-DRIP SYSTEM
The anti-drip system is designed to automatically pre-
vent water from escaping through the soleplate when
the iron is cold. During use, a “click” sound may be
heard from the anti-drip system, particularly during heat-
up or while cooling down. This is normal and indicates
that the system is functioning correctly.
