To engage the brake holding latch, do the following:
1. Place the transmission in PARK.
2. Squeeze and release the brake lever

two or three times, then squeeze
and hold.
3. Push the latch

forward to engage the lock.
4. Release the brake lever.
5. To release the brake holding latch, squeeze and release the brake lever. It
will return to its unlocked position.
The brake holding latch may relax if left on for a long period of time. Always
block the wheels to prevent rolling. Always block the wheels on the downhill side
of the ATV if leaving it parked on a hill. Another option is to park the ATV in a
sidehill position. Never depend on the brake holding latch alone if the ATV is
parked on a hill. Always block the wheels to prevent rolling.
AUXILIARY FOOT BRAKE
WARNING
Use caution when applying the auxiliary brake. Do not aggressively apply the
auxiliary brake. The wheels may skid and slide sideways, causing loss of
control and serious injury or death.
The auxiliary brake system is intended to be used as a backup for the main
brake system. Should the main system fail, use the auxiliary foot brake
