#1 Is this ideal for killing bedbugs? We had them once but out of fear and precaution I want to steam treat my beds and couches. How hot does it get?
Bed bugs have a low death rate temperature. As long as you can get the steam to be over 122° F, they will die as will their eggs. Pesticides do not kill all of them as they hide and are immune. Not to mention their eggs do not die by chemicals. They are sesame seed sized and are as sticky as super glue. Steam cleaning is actually the only way to be 99.999% sure the infestation will be eradicated
