Connecting power
• This refrigerator should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord
of this refrigerator is equipped with a three-prong plug which plugs into a
standard three-prong wall outlet to minimize the possibility of electrical
shock.
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third ground prong from
the power cord supplied.
• This refrigerator requires a standard 115 ~ 60 Hz Volt AC electrical outlet with a
three-prong ground.
• This refrigerator is not designed to be used with an inverter.
• The cord should be secured behind the refrigerator, and not left exposed or
dangling, to prevent accidental injury.
• Never unplug the refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grip the
plug firmly and pull straight out from the receptacle.
• Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. If the power cord is too
short, have a qualified electrician or service technician install an outlet near
the appliance. Use of an extension cord can negatively affect the performance
of the unit.
Leveling your refrigerator
• Your refrigerator must be level in order to function correctly. If your
refrigerator isn’t leveled during installation, the door may not close or seal
correctly and cause cooling, frost, or moisture problems.
• To level your refrigerator, turn the leveling foot (front) counter-clockwise to
raise a side of your refrigerator or turn it clockwise to lower a side.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
• A 15-20 amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. This provides the best
performance and also prevents overloading wiring circuits which could cause a
fire hazard from overheated wires.
• The refrigerator should always be connected to its own individual electrical
branch leading directly to the main voltage source or distribution panel.
• Immediately discontinue use if the main power supply line has been damaged. If
the supply line is damaged, it must be repaired by a qualified service professional.
• When removing the refrigerator away from the wall, be careful not to roll over or
damage the main power supply line.
Note: Having someone push against the top of your refrigerator helps to take some weight off
the leveling foot and makes it easier to adjust.
