#3 WHAT IS VAPOUR CLEANING AND HOW DO I USE IT?

The Vapour Clean function is a special function that
uses steam to help lift spillages and burnt on food
residue from the inside of the oven. All built in ovens
with LCD displays have this as a selectable programme
and which is 18 minutes long. For those ovens that don’t
have LCD displays the function can be selected
manually and the temperature selected manually to 60
degrees and should be left to steam for 20 minutes.
1. In the main oven there is a circular mould in the base
of the oven. Fill the circular mould with washing up
liquid and water, approx. 40ml.
2. Take the oven racks and side racks out of the oven
then using the same solution of washing up liquid and
water fill a small plant spray bottle with the solution and
spray the sides and roof with the solution.
3. Select the Vapour Clean function, all built in ovens
with LCD displays have this as a selectable programme
and which is 18 minutes long. For those ovens that don’t
have LCD displays the function can be selected
manually and the temperature selected manually to 60
degrees and should be left to steam for 20 minutes.
4. Once the programme has finished or if using the
manual function switch the oven off after 20 minutes
and let the oven cool slightly. The oven can then be
wiped out, a non-scratch sponge can be used to clean
away any hard to remove residue.
For greater hygiene and to avoid food being affected by
any unpleasant odours, we recommend that the oven is
dried using a fan-assisted function at 160 °C for
approximately 10 minutes.
