Neff D94ABC0N0B/01 Questions and Answers

#1 How do I clean the activated carbon/charcoal filters in my hood?

Activated carbon/charcoal filters cannot be cleaned or washed – they must be replaced. Activated Carbon Filters are used to neutralise odours when your hood is recirculating air around the kitchen. Carbon filters should be replaced when they are noticeably dirty or discolored (usually every 6 to 12 months, depending on hood usage). Tested and approved filters can be ordered directly from us.

#2 How to remove grease from stainless steel surfaces?

Remove any deposits with our tested and approved Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder. This will remove dirt and spillages without damaging the surface. Make sure the powder is used on a damp cloth as a ‘paste’ and wipe along the grain of the metal. This product can be ordered from us.

#3 How do I clean the anodised aluminum surfaces on my extractor hood?

Wash with hot, soapy water, then rinse and dry. Mild detergents and cleaning agents are acceptable. Do not use powdered cleaners, abrasive cleaners, scrubbers, or steel wool pads.

#4 How do I clean the painted surfaces on my extractor hood?

Wash with hot soapy water, rinse and then dry. Do not use powder cleaning agents, steel wool pads, oven cleaners or other abrasive cleaning materials.

#5 What do I have do consider when cleaning my extractor hood?

Wipe away grease stains, change carbon filters (for recirculating units only), and wash grease filters on a regular basis. Warning: Do not use the extractor hood without the filters in place or with grease-filled filters or surfaces. To avoid risk of fire and explosion, do not use flammable liquids or solvents. Always unplug or disconnect the appliance from the power supply before servicing. Always be sure the entire hood (including filters and light bulbs) has cooled and grease has solidified before attempting to clean any part of the appliance. The efficiency of the extractor hood depends on the cleanliness of the intake and filters. Cleaning frequency depends on the frequency and type of cooking.

#6 How should I protect stainless steel surfaces from marking?

You can treat the surface with a tested and approved oil impregnated Conditioning Cloth (can be ordered from us) will assist fingerprint and mark resistance. Some people use baby oil or similar products on stainless steel. However, these products do not work as they attract dust and fluff, causing a residue to form. The same Conditioning Oil as in the cloths can be ordered in a bottle from us. It is food-safe and can be used on surfaces which are in contact with food.
