OPERATING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
6 7
Install refrigerator in a convenient location away from extreme heat and cold. Allow
sufficient clearance between the refrigerator and side wall so the door will open for
a fully usable interior. Refrigerator is not designed for recessed installation.
Select a place with strong level floor.
Allow 5 inches of space between the
refrigerator’s side and the wall.

UP DOWN
There is a leveling foot on each side of the cabinet bottom.

- Turn foot to the right to lower that side of the cabinet down.
The front of the cabinet should be slightly higher than the
back so that the door will not swing open once closed.

FEATURES AND USE
NOTE: If the refrigerator has been unplugged, wait 3 to 5 minutes after plugging back
in before turning control dial to a cooling number position. The unit may fail to
operate if cooling operation resumes too soon after plugging in.

Starting your new Refrigerator
Defrosting the Freezer Compartment
1. Clean the refrigerator thoroughly. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, the inside with
a damp cloth.
2. Keep the door open and insert the power supply cord into the socket.
3. Turn the thermostat dial to “3”. Close the door and allow refrigerator to run 15-20
minutes to cool down sufficiently before adding food.
Note : If the refrigerator has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any period
of time, wait 24 hours before plugging it in.
You can control the inside temperature by turning the temperature control dial. Higher
numbers mean greater cooling power, smaller numbers mean less cooling power. The dial
does not have to be set exactly on the numbers, but can be any place in between. To make
ice cubes in the freezer compartment the fastest, set the dial to 7. Increasing to 7 will also
make the refrigerator compartment much colder.
Note : Turning the temperature control knob to the 0 position will stop the cooling cycle
but does not shut off power to the unit.
The built-in freezer compartment is designed to keep contents below 32 F. Defrost the
freezer whenever frost accumulates to a thickness of 1/8" or more on freezer walls. Note
that frost tends to accumulate more during summer months.
To defrost freezer, set the control dial to OFF. Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical
outlet.
Remove all food from refrigerator and freezer compartments. Place the drip tray on the
shelf immediately beneath the freezer. Defrosting may take several hours, so store food
in another refrigerator in the meantime.
To speed up defrost time, keep the door open and place a bowl of warm water in the
refrigerator.
During defrosting water will accumulate in the freezer compartment. After defrosting is
complete, empty water from drip tray and freezer compartment. Wipe down both
compartments.
Plug refrigerator back into electrical outlet and set control dial to desired number.
Once interior has sufficiently cooled, place food back into refrigerator and freezer.
CAUTION: DO NOT use boiling water to melt frost accumulation on freezer walls,
as it may damage plastic parts.
