If the suction power of the adjustable
floorhead seems too high, reduce the
suction until the floorhead is easier
to manoeuvre (see “Use - To regulate
the suction power”).
Using the SID Intensive floorhead
(depending on model)
Please observe the flooring manu-
facturer's cleaning and care instruc-
tions.
The SID floorhead is designed for brief
use on carpets, and for vacuum flooring
with deep gaps and crevices.
For continuous vacuuming we recom-
mend using the adjustable floorhead.
Inserting batteries into the LED
handle (dia. 10 + 11)
(depending on model)
Loosen the screw on the cover.
Press in the sides of the cover to re-
lease the retainers and remove the
cover.
Take out the battery holder and in-
sert the three batteries supplied.
Make sure the polarity is correct.
Refit the battery holder. Arrows are
marked on the battery holder and
battery compartment as a fitting aid.
They should point in the same direc-
tion.
Replace the cover and tighten the
screw back up again.
Activating the exhaust filter
TimeStrip® change indicator on the
exhaust filter
Depending on the model, your vacuum
cleaner will be fitted as standard with
one of the following exhaust filters (dia.
12).
a AirClean
b AirClean Plus 50 (light blue)
c Silence AirClean 50 (grey)
d Active AirClean 50 (black)
e HEPA AirClean 50 (white)
If your vacuum cleaner is fitted with fil-
ter c,d or e, you need to activate the
exhaust filter TimeStrip® change indic-
ator.
Press the release catch for the dust
compartment lid and raise the lid as
far as it will go (dia. 13).
Remove the indicator strip (dia. 14).
Press the exhaust filter TimeStrip®
change indicator(dia. 15).
After approx. 10 - 15 seconds, a thin
red line will appear in the left hand side
of the display (dia. 16).
Close the dust compartment lid se-
curely, making sure it clicks into posi-
tion. Take care not to trap the dust-
bag when doing so.

works®
The exhaust filter TimeStrip® change
indicator shows the remaining func-
tional life of the exhaust filter. After ap-
prox. 50 operating hours the display will
