Frigidaire FHWW103WBE Questions and Answers

#1 How do I clean my air conditioner's air filter?
For most air conditioners, the filter can be found by opening
the front panel. Since it’s a reusable filter, you can simply
remove and clean using warm, soapy water. After cleaning,
allow the filter to dry thoroughly before replacing it. You may
also vacuum the air filter to remove excess dirt and
particles.

For more details regarding the air filter in your specific
model, please reference your Use & Care manual.

#2 What are BTUs for Air Conditioners?
BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is the rating used
for air
conditioners. A BTU is defined by the quantity of heat
required to
raise the temperature of one pound of water one degrees
Fahrenheit.

The higher the BTU, the larger space the room air
conditioner will
cool. Use this helpful guide below to decide which BTU is
right for
your area:

5k BTU: 150 Sq. Ft.
10k BTU: 450 Sq. Ft.
15k BTU: 850 Sq. Ft.
22k BTU: 1,300 Sq. Ft.
28k BTU: 1,900 Sq. Ft.

#3 I have noticed that my ENERGY STAR air conditioner is
frequently in
Econ mode?
For all new ENERGY STAR products the EPA has regulated
that all
ENERGY STAR air conditioners must be factory set to
Energy Saver
(Econ) mode.

If you turn the room air conditioner off in cool mode, and
restart the
unit it will default back into Energy Saver mode.

You may select out of Energy Saver mode by selecting the
mode
button, however we recommend using the feature to help
save
energy.
